    The TH-cam Algorthim has blessed me, it's beautiful to see this comprehensive, non-sensationalize, summary of recent scientific work!

    Very interesting as always - thanks.
    The news seems to focus quite heavily on the mesozoic rather than the paleozoic. Is this intentional (e.g. focusing on dinosaurs etc) or is it because there are more fossils being found for this period?

      @RaptorChatter  18 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It's because it's different. A fossil rhino, even an early one is "just another mammal, we see those all the time". A dinosaur is totally unique, and other than birds nobody has ever seen one, so it seems exciting. Because of this funding exists to study dinosaurs, and a handful of other groups.

    Microsaurs are not related to living amphibians, that’s almost certainly temnospondyls. Microsaurs probably are either early amniotes or on the amniote stem.

      From what I've seen they are generally considered as Temnospondyls, but I know there's a lot of debate that far down the tree. I know of at least one person working on a lot of the base of the amniote amphibian split, so hopefully there will be better in the future.

      We're working on it. It worked on our old camera, but this one is more accurate. Them being off made them look aligned on the old one.
