During BINI's first years they were trying out a lot of songs to see what would be a hit with the masses. That's why Da Coconut Nut is also in English but sounds very Twice, Strings sounds like a song by ITZY or Blackpink, and this Golden Arrow sounds very much like a song from a US or UK girl group. It's only recently when they started singing in Filipino, but in a fresher Filipino way that is bubbly, bubblegum pop, that they finally found their signature sound.
Mention other groups who are versatile as they are, they can do all genres. Were not wrong this time about BINI, they deserve more!

Some of their songs in their Born to Win album have Filipino lyrics such as Na na na, Kinikilig and 8.
I don't know if this is a compliment or not, but I hate it when people compare them to KPOP groups in how they sound because when you can clearly differentiate the sound of KPOP from BINI in the way they sing it, like harmonies and vocal tone, it is completely different from those groups you mention.

The orange bridge is Sacobia bridge in Mabalacat City, Pampanga. The Sacobia bridge is significant of nation’s heritage and promising times ahead- a nice metaphor for BINI's Golden Arrow.
It feels weird being a bloom rn because there's so much happening with Bini, I'm not used to this much content being a kpop fan before. Yesterday was the first time they sang solo (covers) 1 by 1 at a small venue. After that mini concert, they had an after party (blooms and bini) and they played some parlour games. Then following morning, blooms saw a few of Bini surfing at a nearby beach. Like... I'm so friggin jealous being an int'l bloom. So yeah, off topic but I just wanted to share.

filipinos usually sing in full english or full tagalog (or full other dialects like cebuano) because we're all at least bilingual and it's the "right" or formal way to speak the languages. it's only recently (late 2000s) that people started being more casual in songs and singing in tagalog-english combination (how we casually talk daily). there had been songs like in the 90s where people use maybe one or two english words in their songs but not really the mix (mostly the english words used are nouns: mr. kupido, mr. dreamboy, ms. universe). nowadays, most songs are still mostly in one language even with a mix of some words, like pantropiko (usually the english ones are full english). it's ppop that usually use the format where there's a lot of english thrown in since it's the same with other asian pop. the difference is, with ppop, this is really how we talk daily, unlike like kpop or jpop, they really just add english words/sentences in their songs but don't usually talk that way daily (except for foreign members)

No, Golden Arrow was written by SAB or Sabine Cerrado. But the rap parts was written by Bini Aiah, Bini Mikha, Bini Stacey and Bini Colet.
They have a vlog about the making of golden arrow where they also got to meet SAB.

I noticed that in Golden Arrow, i think this was the song that made full use of their skills especially with their vocal and rap prowess. The verses showed their rich lower registers (highlighted Gwen, Sheena, Stacey and Aiah's alto), the choruses were distributed to their vocally powerful members (Maloi, Colet, Jhoanna and Mikha), the bridge highlighted their rappers with some interesting flows that seems to be their signature (Stacey, Mikha, Aiah and Colet) then the vocalists just popped off on the last chorus (Gwen, Maloi and Jhoanna killing those adlibs while Gwen and Sheena sang the chorus one last time). It was such a treat of a song and I am glad everyone is starting to know how genius of a song Golden Arrow is.
You should also listen to Bini's I feel good MV and Wish bus! You wont regret it for sureee

It isn't unusual that they sang this in English. We have so many song composed by Filipinos but in English since it is our second language. An example, you can listen to Ben and Ben's song called "Leaves" . it's really a beautiful song. I think you will love it.

It was my first time watching them live last night during their halftime performance at the Star Magic All-Star Game 2024. They performed 'Karera' and 'Pantropiko'. Also, Mikha played volleyball last night and won Best Setter! The crowd was CRAZY for them!!! Now I regret not buying any tickets for their concert.

They're a very unique group since they sing in multiple Filipino languages and always incorporate Filipino culture in their music like FIlipino traditional dances, etc. I recommend checking out their song "Maharani" (Great Queen) first since Jhoanna is featured in the MV.
