Will this work with normal RPI os (like bullseye) or do I have to flash ubuntu or Debian?

It’s better to play it safe and go for Ubuntu/Debian OS as the guide in GitHub mentions only the following: Ubuntu 18.04/16.04/14.04 LTS.

Doesn’t work. Cmake doesn’t install. Swig doesn’t install and there is no build directory inside YLidar-SDK
Edit: I tried on my Ubuntu machine and it works but on my raspbery pi it doesn’t. Maybe it’s the os

It might as you stated just because of the OS. Try flashing the SD card with Ubuntu or Debian, as the GitHub repository only mentions the following in their installation guide:
      Ubuntu 18.04/16.04/14.04 LTS
