  • A countdown or trigger into trance, then a call to wake, over and over again. - Intended effect: Very deep, mindless trance.
    Will leave you in a trance afterwards, best done in a playlist with another file on my channel.

    • Type: Gentle
    • Category: Induction
    • Features: Fractionation, Open ending
    • Summary:
    The listener is guided through a series of instructions and suggestions to enter into a state of trance. He uses words like "drop" and "wake" to induce relaxation and bring the listener in and out of trance. The listener is encouraged to follow the countdown and instructions, allowing their mind and body to relax and let go. He emphasizes the pleasantness of the drop into trance and the deep relaxation that accompanies it. The listener is also reassured that confusion and ups and downs are normal and part of the process. He uses poetic language and imagery to deepen the trance experience and encourages the listener to continue dropping deeper and letting go. The listener is reminded that their unconscious mind can understand and follow the instructions, even if the conscious mind may not fully comprehend. The file ends by suggesting that the listener can continue to drop deeper and wake as needed, knowing that eventually, they will return to their normal state of consciousness.

    Finally! After the third attempt, I finished it. The first two times I had some... interruptions. First time, I was deep but then I sneezed and woke myself back up again. The second time, I was SO CLOSE but then thought of something funny and ruined it.

    This one made me question what depth even is while I was under. I don’t know if I ever go deep. But maybe I just don’t know what deep means. Anyone willing to share their thoughts/experiences of depth in hypnosis? How do you all interpret depth? How do you determine if you yourself went deep?

    • @narratornate8841
      @narratornate8841 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Depth for me is how aware you are during the hypnosis. How is your ability to process or remember what happens, how aware are you about your surroundings, can you hear, feel, or see anything around you, how much are you able to notice during the trance really is the main thing that determines depth. Using the ocean as an example, if you can still hear, see, and interact with the things around you outside of the trance, then you're barely touching the water. If you can hear the voice of the person giving the trance, and can remember it all, but aren't aware of much anything else outside the trance, then you're up to your neck but walking along the seafloor. If you are deep enough that you can't remember or understand much, then you are officially under the water, but can still go deeper. The deeper you go, the harder it is to wake up and come out of the trance, just like how water pressure can make it harder to come up.

    • @Noor_0934
      @Noor_0934 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@narratornate8841 That is a really helpful analogy. Thank you! I suppose that’s the definition I have been thinking at the back of my mind. But the ocean’s image really helps me understand it more, especially as someone who doesn’t feel they experience as much depth.

      @@narratornate8841 As a subject, a hypnotist, or both? Funny you should say that though 😅 I have actually been involved with hypnosis for about 8 years now. I taught myself a ton, wrote an extensive essay, and even tried hypnotizing friends. But I’ve only started as a subject for 6 months now. I’ve learned a lot more from experiencing it myself, but I may have reached a limit. Which is why I love seeing what others, such as yourself, have to share.

      @@Noor_0934 I'm a subject, though I've found I don't really have a limit. It's unfortunate actually, the one file I found that did what works best for me got deleted a few years ago. I can't find anything that brings me quite as deep as that one did.

    To what extent is it "normal" (I understand everyone may be different) to grow frustrated and cry a bit during the more rapid fire ups and downs? Is this a sign that I may stay away from fractionation in the future, or is it a pretty common 'side effect'?

    • @JK-ju6cf

      It's called fractionation when you bring a person in and out of trance several times. And with every time they will go deeper (this is the main effect of fractionation). It's just a nice way to bring someone deep into trance :)
