The budget of the film is 370 crores(confirmed by producer) but VJ salary alone was 200 crores!! (also confirmed by the producer) . That's why so many sequences look so bland and like some TV serials.

Priyamudan (1998) is Vijay’s best villain performance which became a blockbuster and was remade into 5 languages. Shame that the Tamil audience only talk about Villain Vijay in Azhagiya Tamil Magan (2007), this movie flopped because of screenplay.

Old actor name is captain Vijaykanth. Who was a superstar back then . I think they purposely made it look like that because it's a mask that can be removed , I didn't feel any bad about it because everyone knows it's Vijay , even the villain in the movie .

There's no proper justification for the villain to be pure psychotic and we do know about the character's past of having a loving family so it doesn't make sense and saw the villainism or vj to be like ATM so no suprise there.

This movie didn't work for me. Its all over the place and the tonal shifts broke the immersion. Actually i am a malayali and many Malayalam audience didn't like this film. Couldn't have been way better. They are using similar template of old tamil films for this movie. The movie was inconsistent with its cinematography and visuals.

Regarding the problem of North India Multiplex releases what do you think Nona Vijay , Rajinikanth , Ajith and Suriya Movies getting released in very less screens or The producers should agree to release the movies after a 8 week Slab after running in theaters on OTT platforms , and or else continuing with the 4 week Slab of releasing the movie on OTT platforms. What caters the most for North Indian Theaters and multiplexes
If producers realse in north belt the whole collection will go to distributer but the ott price will be given huge for only 4--5 weeks of theatres run
People were talking about the Rajiv Menon villain character when they said it was bad
People never look for logic in RRR, KGF are questioning Thalapathy's movie ...come on guys this movie is for Vijays last movie celebration for us fans. How many of u guys watched Vaazhai, Kottukaali both outstanding movies in Tamil few weeks before it got released and it got film festival awards but people are not preferring those movies ...these kind of mass big budget movies producers, directors are forced to have all kind of masalas in the movie to make the money invested
....all those vfx flaws first fight is unnecessary and climax bike riding on top of the stadium n all unnecessary but it is what it is v havta accept the fact that's how the cinema world works...atleast u made this review neutrally nowadays I feel like people can make an easy drama movies but it's really really hard to Crack a mass entertaining commercial movie like before ...people should understand the differences before commenting on the movie....with few flaws in vfx and screenplay everyone forgot the amazing performance of Thalapathy vijay heroism, villainism, comedy, fight, emotions everything man he is outstanding performer and see the collection day1 126Crs 😂 already a hit ...if u don't criticize RRR, KGF, Pushpa you don't have any right to critize this movie ...RRR he fucking brings animals full vfx man and also tat bridge fight 😂 KGf fucking he rides one whole ship filled with gold 😂😂😂 why they criticize only Vijay ?
