@@8-bitato a simulation of the game of life on the game of life has already been achieved, the video I linked to contains a better quality bad apple in gol, the video we're watching is using a much more basic version because they just used a premade pixel art set up made by other people. It's still impressive, but you can make any low quality animation this way using almost the same set up.
