I know you’ve heard it, probably multiple times but you need to analyse the lyrics man, Pac is expressing his own pain while expressing the pain of his community in a hypothetical way, there’s so many layers to each verse that at first or second listen you won’t catch, but when you take the time to truly listen and understand, even though the rhyme scheme is basic, the song is deep as fuck. This track is the true genius of Tupac Shakur and deserves the recognition.

Get started with music? I started a writing rock/ alternative rock music when I was 8. Was introduced to hip hop shortly after and began writing consistently around 14/15. Became a “rapper” and was noticed when I was 20. Signed at 22 and then dropped/ offered a writing position since I couldn’t leave the state. Was facing 5-10 years in prison. I’ve been writing and working multiple jobs ever since 😊
