The stance is killer. Many times I have seen models that miss that mark . This cars stance is part of its trademark look really and they got it right indeed. The whole car looks solid and heavey which to me says quality build. Digging the details on the power plant too. Its plain to see that this is the best version of Doms charger yet. Another great review bud as it once again gives us the up close and detailed look we like. Keep em coming

It's a really cool piece - and they do raise the bar, for sure, on movie models. This one needed a good replica, and boy, does this thing deliver.
Thanks for the kind words - and thanks for watching!

      Hey, Justin!
I was a fan of the films, but hadn't seen them in a while - this is a wicked-looking car. I have to see if I can build a wheelstand perch for it.
      Thanks for watching!

J.D. Kelly Pretty cool idea! Try it on the Fast and the Furious 1:43 cars by Greenlight and recreate the scene with both the Charger and Supra. ;)
      Cheers!

@@gambino502 I agree. I haven't seen any HWE that steep. Having said that, if the owner of the model doesn't mind and is happy with the car, Overpaying really doesn't apply. I'm sure I've spent more on a piece than many have, but being pleased that it's in my collection is all that mattered.
      PEACE from Philadelphia

The best Charger model. Hot Wheels really know how to make things in proportion, all those other 1/18 models of the charger are not in proportion and look absolutely garbage, this however looks amazing.

Hi J.D. What do you think of the lack of working suspension and real detail of the undercarriage?
And do you know how limited it is maybe?
I bought mine and got it already! Although the price is steep ( due to F&F license?) I am so glad I picked one up, thanks to your 'opening' the box' video I must say!

    • @Thecarroom
      @Thecarroom  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, Kiko!
I'm not too concerned about a non-working suspension; on a car like this, I really care more about the display, because it's such a famous movie image. I *do* like the fact that HWE built in a lot of extra detail under the car. For a long time, because licenses were so expensive, a lot of details were left off of models so the profit margin could be maintained. Mattel seems to have found the formula (no doubt based on the sheer size and market presence of the company) to allow for models of a higher level of detail and features in the entertainment segment.
And yes, that price more than likely has to do with the license fees - they can be monstrous! In addition to the "F&F" money, Mattel still has to pay Chrysler (well, FIAT, LOL) for the use of the Charger image and name. It can get crazy!
Thanks for watching! I'm glad you got the car - hope you're enjoying it!

I had this in my collection. Everything about the model was really great, except the blower. It's so terribly inaccurate and small that it kept annoying me. I couldn't understand how HW went to all the trouble of executing such a nice cast, only to screw it up in such a crucial area. Compare the size of the blower to the images from the final scenes in the movies. Especially with the full-frontal view. HW, how on earth did you do the measurements? It looks so ridiculously tiny.
