Mongolia must have been one of the hardest countries to cross. The sand fetched you off numerous times and the vibration from the road surface seems to have boiled the shock oil and blew the seals. I bet those ridges were from caterpillar tracked road scrappers. The ripples make the shock work so fast it heats up too much and cooks. To do that you need an expensive competition suspension. Lavi is like a little terrier in a crowd nothing's stopping her get to the front LOL she's the best. Oil rich Russian roads again and great views.
💚 It is good that you were able to enter Russia before the visa expired - I do not know how you could endure all this distance on the back of bumblebee with a defect in the suspension - Yesterday I rode almost 300 miles on my Suzuki V Strom tell now I still suffering from road fatigue - you are truly heroes👍 - happy and alive 🥉
I follow you from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. I am very impressed with your relationship as friends and a nice couple, sharing all the beautiful and difficult things in your nice journey.
Crossed fromMongolia into Russia using that border 12 years ago - we were sent back to Mongolia as visa started the following day !. Stayed overnight in the Gerr that can be seen behind you in the film. Doesent look to have changed much ! Safe travels in Russia, Almaty is a great place, I am sure you will get your shocker fixed
Hola L&O, I'm so glad that you survived Mongolia (all 3 of you a little battered and bruised) and made it to Russia. The sunny skies and beautiful scenery were a little bonus. Now it's onward to that 10 day, much deserved rest. I hope your ribs get better, Ollie. I'm glad you made it happy and alive. See you in the next one. Sending lots of love. ❤❤❤
Sent back to Mongolia, you had me fooled😂Such a shame your shock is broken again, I hope you can get it sorted soon! That was an amazing road through Russia, you even got great weather and the scenery was spectacular👌How amazing is Christopher? what a ride😁
Wow, guys... awesome video once again. Hope you've found somewhere to get the bike rear sus fixed. Enjoy the next leg of your journey guys & as always... take it easy... 🐝
I really like what you're doing with the introductions of your videos. It is professional-looking but not too overboard with detail. The trip through Mongolia was awesome, and the info presented was very interesting. Those Eagles are cool, eh? Russia looks beautiful so far. Ok Excellent video, cool
Details of your filming gear and how you edit your footage with the software you use would make great content. Thanks for entertaining us with your travels. John.
Glad to see you back on tarmac again. Those corrogated, rutted tracks of the westernmost part of Mongolia were taxing. Both on the bike and on you. But, you are one though couple, that's for sure! I bet Lavi was an absolute boss with everybody in that customs office. You don't wanna mess around with an annoyed Lavi, I think 😀
Ah, the eagle guy makes sense now. Bummer about Bumblebee's shock and Ollie's ribs. If things are going to break anywhere, then Mongolia is a logical spot for those to happen. Wow! Christopher cycling to Mongolia! What an adventure! You got me there for a second saying that Russia didn't let you in! 🤣 Beautiful countryside there, what a magical ride! Another awesome episode guys. Hope you had a brilliant Xmas and that you have a Happy New Year!
Your description of the Russian border control reminds me of trying to buy a drink in a London pub during Friday lunchtimes back in the 1980s. There was scrum of people about 4 or 5 deep, all pushing and shoving and waving their money in the air and trying to get the barman's attention. I soon gave up drinking in London and only went into quiet country pubs after that!
15:14 Altai mountains means actually the Golden Mountains, and it’s be in the center of the world, which means from there is the longiest way to any oceans. It depends if cut off the Obs fjord. Othervice it’s in Chine side. 👋🏻🤠
For a sec you made me believe that you couldn't enter 😁 Enjoy the ride, the Altaj seems to be very beautiful, another surprise for me! (and try to buy some veggies, hopefully there are at least pickled ones!)
I’m not sure how far behind the videos are but you need to buy an aftermarket shock that set for all the weight you’re carrying. A factory shock will not last long anyway overloaded like that!
Not so nice having to ride knowing got a faily major problem with B Bee but the scenery made up for it and some smooth riding! Fingers x can sort out the suspension soonish.
Don’t use Suzuki for a original shock. You can get much better ones aftermarket. (If no guarantee) Find a large motorcycle dealer and let him upgrade with BBS or even better ÖHLINS. You properly mass out the stock one with 2 persons and luggage. Best of luck
Entering Russia..again. Does that mean another country. To add to the country number? I'm glad the roads are paved. You've made great progress. Planning it last year

18:10 After the last few days of trauma on dirt roads it’s good to see you having an incident free day in-spite of the border crossing aggravation.

In my younger days I rode motocross, it's all about speed in loose sand 👍
It is good to see you guys had fun in Mongolia. We hope to see you again. ✌️😉

Try somehow to get an aftermarket shock! The OEM one isn’t really up to the job as you now know!
Greetings from Greece
Hello 🥳🎊

Feedback is always appreciated when building something. The next Strom in the desert will never know what happened to the tree.

They should put on something like a Wilber’s shock.
