Well, no sleep listening to this story because it was so wonderfully told and because it brought up so many beautiful memories. I used to be the printer at the British Embassy in Bonn. I started working there when I was 22 years old. My printing machine and press were ancient. I had to use the old metal letters in a composing stick too. The smell of the ink I will never forget. I used to do invitation cards for the Ambassador, the headed paper with the Queens crown for all the documents we used to send out. It was the hardest job I have ever had to learn, but it was the job I loved most. Sadly everything moved to Berlin in 1999. My old press and printing machine were sold to a museum and a new chapter started in my life. Thank you for this story , I am smiling and happy. I will listen to another of your stories to sleep 😊❤

I'm really looking forward to this one...my.Dad was a printer in the 60's and 70s until the chemicals took their toll and his exzma became unbearable. He recently told me that he once printed the cheque books for Malcolm X (his British account) and below the signature line, it literally read 'Malcolm X'...nothing more. He also told me he had to sign the Official Secrets Act when he joined this particular printing firm so maybe I shouldn't be sharing this😅😅😅...sweet dreams my friends 😊😊😊

@Stephen_Dalton such kind and warming words Stephen. I've been stuck in a cycle for many years. PTSD and health anxiety etc, to drug addiction. Currently fighting all 3 problems. I was clean for 2 months but recently unfortunately relapsed. So, we go again and I keep listening to the sleep stories. PS: the rain sounds make the videos so much better.

Yes. it was another nostalgic adventure to my many past jobs, where I was blessed to work with a printer at a prestigious university, an editor of a small newsletter, and an innovative creator of a country newspaper, all of whom I hadn't thought of in years. Thank you for the fond memories of days gone by that highly influenced and enriched my life and mold me into the person I am today. Bravo!

I would love to hear a story about an old fashioned day on the bus. My mum is in her 70s and she still gets together with an old school friend to take a 1 or 2 hour bus journey, to nowhere in particular, just to catch up, stare out the window, say hello to some folk, and have a thermos tea.

I don't want to tell an artist how to do their craft but if I ever had the opportunity to hear a story about a helpful fantasy creature from the perspective of the creature (fairy gnome elf something) as if they're telling the story. I was wondering, in the countdown, #10, feeling supported by the solidity and constancy of the earth, do you have any thoughts for people going to sleep on a ship, especially on the deep ocean? That probably doesn't feel too solid or supported. That environment is really pretty dangerous and precarious.
