- I made a 6 day trip to Toronto in Ontario Canada to visit family & to attend the Canadian International Air Show. I didn't really have a lot of time to film trains during my visit, but on September 1st & 5th, 2017 I was able to catch about 20 trains on the 2 days combine of GO TRAIN & VIA RAIL.

I love traveling by train bc you get to see the beautiful country side and the beautiful scenery along the way
Plus I love diffrent trains
i love nordic scenery in canada🇨🇦

The bright green and white paint is unlike anything I've ever seen on a diesel. I like it! More trains should have cool, bright color schemes.

I quite like the revised cab cars, especially in that two-tone green.
Nice!, very colorful! The 2-tone green is reminiscent of Northern Pacific.

VIA rail my favourite way to travel. No traffic lots of legroom and a food and beverage cart.

Thats basically what go and via rail are canadas version of metra and amtrack via rail is amtrack and go is metra

Via is Amtrak for Canadians metra and go are similar accept go has different car and it's kinda of longer

Speed reduction zone and very suburban. The tracks are quite heavily used throughout the day, so it is also very evident to residents of the area. I understand where you're coming from though!

I would like to see more trains like this in the world, since in most countries, the locomotives are shorter than a truck and they look ridiculous, they look like deformed buses
But those types of locomotives are more efficient
@@flaviolau4610 but they are ugly, compared to buses, leaving favoritism for very young children, but I have realized that most of the time, trains are strong machines, instead a truck is a gross and heavy vehicle

I love GO trains, normally I travel from aldershot station to the exhibition station, aka the CNE.

ICrailfanner Not really, I railfan a lot on the GO corridor. Just wouldn’t get too close. Other than that I would assume you are good.
Amt trains in montreal are strict because other people can look at ur phone and steal a dress pictures and more and hack so you need to ask exo guards

What type of horns are on those trains? It sounds like a half dead K5LLA...
They're called K5CA, and they were created solely to sound horrible because they think that will alert people better. Usually, only 3 of the 5 bells are actually sounding, and when all 5 are, that's what they call "Emergency Horn". Transport Canada has a requirement that all passenger locomotives HAVE to use this horn.
I do not like the go transit F59PH horn
It's very hard to believe that GoTransit has been around since the 1960s. I like how they rebuilt the Bombardier cab control cars with sturdier and safer nose like cabs safer than their original flat-face cabs
What other commuter railroad bought these newer cab cars?
The new style cab cars are brand new. The old ones are now in coach service
Sounder also owns Cab Cars just like these. There were also very similar cars built by Hyundai Rotem some time before these first appeared, and those are owned by Metrolink and Tri-Rail. Cab Cars like these are known as CEM (Crash Energy Management) Cab Cars. I, for one, completely hate them because they look extremely ugly and all tend to have terrible horns.

I know this is a dumb question but I played this gam Rome roblox called rails of the north which is a Canadian train simulator and one of the go transit trains was a 50s stream liner diesel can someone tell me if that was real or not?

The GO Transit F59PHs will be history soon. They will be replaced by the MP54ACs, which is the second locomotive in the last video.
EDIT: apparently they’re staying for the time being.

From what I’ve heard, GO is gonna use them as yard units
We still have 8 (mainly) for Toronto-London service on the Kitchener line

They're still running, but they won't be around much longer. The MP54ACs are in the process of replacing them right now.
