Road Directions
Getting to NorthWeald Market.
Entry to the airfield and North Weald Market is via the A414 from the M11 or Ongar Chelmsford directions. There is no direct access from North Weald Village itself.
From the M11, take the A414 towards Ongar / Chelmsford. At the first roundabout take the second exit and continue straight over the second roundabout and up to the final roundabout, doubling back to enter at the Main B Gate.
From Chelmsford / Ongar, take the A414 towards the M11. At the Talbot rounderbout (Harvester on the right, signposted North Weald left) go straight across. At the next roundabout take the first exit and continue straight over the second roundabout and up to the final roundabout, doubling back to enter at the Main B Gate.
Public Transport Directions
London Underground - take the Central Line to Epping Station. British Rail to Harlow Station from Liverpool Street or Cambridge via Stansted Airport.

There used to be an Indian food van, that sold chicken tikka or lamb in a naan bread, samosas etc. Are they still there?

I don’t see many foodie stalls ie delicatessen, fruit and veg, meat, bread…. That’s one thing it needs more of. Too many clothes etc.
So small compared to how it used to be.
Only see one meat stool in this video there used to be about 20
This is a crappy market now with over priced fakes and food poisoning from every food outlet. & Pick pocketed from a 10 yr old traveler kid . It doesn't look bad on camera to be honest.
The modern North Weald market looks nothing like the one in its 90’s heyday. Back then there were hundreds of stalls and it was always rammed full, traffic used to queue for miles to go there. These days it’s nothing special. If you wanna buy some cheap Chinese tat then this is the place for you👍
