Read the ingredients on your beef whatever store you visit. I went to my local food pantry and they had some tubes of ground beef. The worker did let me know that it was mixed in with plant products. I declined.
I remember buying the Green Giant brand corn at Walmart for .50 cents a can. It's my favorite brand. Also the long loaves of the French breads for .99 cents each. Now look at it,and the quality isn't as good, plus shrinkage in size.
Thanks for the Wal-Mart update. I'm 67 and will be buying my monthly groceries this weekend. I've made out a list, but I know I'll be doing the switch-a-roo game and I'm dreading it. It takes so long now to shop for even just a few things, let alone a lot of things. I used to love shopping but in the past three years, I have grown to abhor shopping. The way things are going, it looks like only the rich will be able to afford to buy food.
It's bad. I visit 2 local food banks each week, and it helps a lot, being that I'm retired as well. So many people coming in to these places to get a box of food, and most of them are seniors. God bless from Oklahoma.
It's amazing you keep track of the prices from store to store. It was exhausting doing it myself going to all the stores in the past. I appreciate the comparison. It will help me shop for my family. Thank You!
Yes, I've noticed that the items I normally buy have been climbing over the months too. Doesn't take to many items now to get the $35 free delivery with Walmart plus now.
Damn those are some high prices for produce. I stopped buying anything fresh from Walmart years ago. The quality was crap! I only buy canned , Boxed or non food items now.
I truly wish everyone had access to an Aldi. I used to shop at Walmart for almost all of my groceries, but I've now switched to Aldi for everything except for a few items that I can only get at Walmart (We like their great value Colombian coffee).
I guess I should say, I truly wish everyone who wanted access to an Aldi had that access. Aldi isn't everyone's cup of tea. For me, since I buy Walmart store brands quite often anyway, it makes more sense for me to get the Aldi brands significantly cheaper for the same items. A bagged salad kit is a dollar cheaper at my Aldi versus Walmart. 8 ounce package of pre-sliced cheese is 20 plus cents cheaper at my Aldi. One dozen store brand eggs is currently over a dollar cheaper at my Aldi. And so on. Over time, these savings add up, and I don't have to wait for sales or use coupons. Also, the in and out at Aldi is much quicker than at Walmart, and their dupes like coconut chia granola, organic, are very good and much cheaper than their brand name counterparts. Everyone has their own preferences and needs for grocery shopping. These are just some of the reasons why Aldi works best for me. My local Aldi is essentially right next to a Hy-Vee grocery store, and while I haven't done any formal comparisons, the prices in that store really scare me. For me, hyvee is only for items I can't get somewhere else, a loss leader deal, or for times when I'm in a rush like picking up medicine at the pharmacy for a sick family member.
@@coffee_5647Yep 😔 Tuna is .85¢ a can at Aldi. Sardines are .95¢ a can at Aldi, $2.18 at Walmart. Best deal I found on ground beef is Kroger. I dont understand why a product needs to sell out completely before coming back as a price increase when they already increase prices on other items on the shelf.
I'm in a unique area. I have 5 stores within walking distance of my home not that I walk but that's how close they are. I shop using the circulars. Buy one get one free deals are usually better than any claimed low price for a single item. We also use a local Costco. Paper goods are usually better priced although you need storage space. Some of the prepared meals are a excellent value. I buy some mostly for the convenience as well as their tasting good. I also have two European stores. A limited selection but priced well and some of the imports are very good. Because there are two of us a purchase goes a long way. we get two or even three meals out of some purchases. NY Strip steaks were on sale at my favorite store $6 off per lb. One steak feeds two of us. I bought two. A freezer is essential. We're retirees and we watch prices carefully. I have a lot of experience shopping. I was the oldest of 8 children and sometimes we'd be on welfare whenever my father had to be back in the mental institution. My mother made a list but left selection up to me and looking for deals for future meals if money was available. My wife and have the same arrangement. The menu growing up was different, more starches, giant bagged cereal, oatmeal, rice and macaroni. Vegetables and fruits. We rarely had meat. Giant pots of soups and stews. Three meals from a chicken. She rolled her own stuffed cabbage. I don't see anyone cooking like this any more.
I do 🙋 because I have to. Homemade stews, soups, goulashes, casseroles, I can get pretty creative lol. Stuffed bell pepper is a meal for me. Pasta salads are easy to make and healthier than store bought ones. Rice and potatoes are VERY versatile. I can do a lot with rice & potatoes. When I boil meat save the stock for future use in gravies and soups. I waste nothing lol
Hi Danno, thank you again for updating for us. Things are definitely going up in price everywhere. I was just at Walmart last night & bought the organic strawberries for Valentines Day that were celebrating this wkend. I’m making chocolate covered. Daffin’s Candies (where I usually buy them) is just too expensive. Idk how ppl are suppose to survive!
Holy Cow!! For a couple that's on Social Security, no way can we keep up on those prices and pay bills too. Ridiculous. We do stock up on Krogers buy 5 of something sale .Krogers strawberries for a 2lb tub was $8.99.I can do without them.
Lately all I've been getting at Walmart is bottled water, few cleaning supplies. I apologize in advance to cofee drinkers but, it was nice to see 2 videos in a row not having 4 minutes of coffee. Thanks Danno
The brick Kerrygold was $3.98 before and did not go up or down. The sticks of Kerrygold used to be $4.18 and went up to $4.27. Same at my Walmart in Virginia.
It's crazy. The GV Cream of Chicken and Mushroom were still $.68, but all the rest jumped. Grab the beans and lentils there; they are all going up everywhere, and some are gone,(probably to come back smaller and more expensive.)
I drive truck so I'm never at home to shop sales. I've been going off what you report and order on line... I haven't heard about the spice shortages so thanks for what you do
Those Hormel Completes don't seem to have as many varieties as they used to. Walmart, Meijer, or Menards. Actually, Menards seems to have more than Walmart and Meijer, and the same price.
I just came from dollar tree and it was fully stocked! I'm in the Maryland area I was shocked to see it like that all the others in my area are empty and have been!
I was born in MD and grew up in the DC suburbs on both sides.I have been hearing that all is stocked well. After moving around,I am stuck in Kentucky, but we are also well-stocked. Other places are seeing empty shelves. Michigan gets badly hit.I am shocked at the images from there at times.
i just checked the app set at my store, same thing, $9.54 so i am glad last month that i brought 2 of the 60 count eggs for $8.34 each. just about ready to open the first one in another 2 days probably.
Gm I never purchase meat at Walmart I always go to the meat store to stock up on all of my meat for the month and it’s cheaper at the meat store than Walmart
thomas bagels and sara lee bread are owned by the same company, something bimbo owns them. we brought the great value bread when i didn't want to make another stop at kwiktrip. that was a mistake, ended up making a special trip to get bread at kwik and the great value crap was thrown out to the birds. last time i make that mistake i hope.

I'm glad they're hiking prices because Aldi is located right behind Walmart where I live. So I just go right past Walmart these days. It's crazy they thought people wouldn't react to these price increases when everything else is so expensive too.
my daughter works at the walmart i use to work at. she is happy, they are in the process of changing over to digital price tags so changing prices will be a lot faster/easier now.
@@SoCalRvca Well seeing that store is running 50-70 employees short right now, it is just less employees they need to find and hope to show up everyday.
Between the personal shoppers and the stockers blocking the aisles, there is no room for the store shoppers. Lots of rudeness, cart shoving going on. Feels like black friday
Wal Mart doe's not have food in the back. When a truck is unloaded the items are seperated onto carts according the isle and taken out to that isle. There is no room in the back for storage except for kids clothes and bikes. What you see on the shelf is it.
Families are gonna have to eat more casseroles and stir fry type meals to make food stretch plus buying those good deals on the loss leader's. I went to my local store and something kept telling me to take a few minutes to stroll the store (it's not a store to just do your weekly shopping in because it's so expensive). I went over to the meat section and they had spiral ham on sale for .99 cents a lb so I grabbed one so now I don't have to worry about my Easter ham. It's good to keep a price book of the things you/we buy often because then when we find a great deal then we can buy as much as we can. The week's I find good deals we just eat different because I spent my grocery money on the sales so we'll eat things like pancakes, waffles, or French toast for supper ❤. It can be done but it takes a lot of planning ❤.
Our Neighborhood Walmart just announced on 3/12/24 that they are closing as of 4/12/24. Same day they marked down all their meat. I was able to get some good deals and stock up my freezer.
With the shortages of Pasta lately, I kicked my purchases up a little and now along with what pasta I already had, I have pasta coming out of my ears so I will no longer get pasta except on an as needed basis. Soon I will have Instant Coffee and Tea coming out of my ears and I will quit buying them. I don't drink coffee, but have been stocking up on it for members in my group and Barter. Be prepared and be safe my friends. Keep Prepping.
Last i looked, 60 count large eggs were $14.xx but at least a kiss under $15 in 3 different stores. From what i can tell, the price is variable a bit based upon your supply chain's avian flu.

The great value brand bagels are heavenly. My favorite is the Hawaiian and they’re usually under two dollars a bag.
Yep!✌️
Actually, Menards seems to have more than Walmart and Meijer, and the same price.
yup mn menards r stoked good
you passed CHICKEN PAWS!!! walmart glorified chicken feet!!!
That's the thing about long stem strawberries. It costs more to pay for that extra stem in our diet.
The long stem ones come out around valentine's day. They use them for dipping in chocolate
one pays much more for out of season veggies and fruits.
@@azgardenlover370 As if you can't pick them up by their leaves or not cover the whole strawberry with chocolate in order to have twice as many.
I don't think anyone's eating the stem 🍓
Millions more to feed, supply and demand, fuel and energy higher , shipping prices go up. Consumer pays! 😢 keep up the good work Dano.❤
I took the walmart app and scanned your eggs- you are right- they didn't change the sticker. Price is $9.54
i just checked the app set at my store, same thing, $9.54 so i am glad last month that i brought 2 of the 60 count eggs for $8.34 each. just about ready to open the first one in another 2 days probably.
@@steveherr450 I would think the prices would come down soon since the days are getting longer and the chickens will start laying more. But who knows
Watch the app they will have prices higher than in the store.
Gm I never purchase meat at Walmart I always go to the meat store to stock up on all of my meat for the month and it’s cheaper at the meat store than Walmart
I don't shop at chinamart
thomas bagels and sara lee bread are owned by the same company, something bimbo owns them. we brought the great value bread when i didn't want to make another stop at kwiktrip. that was a mistake, ended up making a special trip to get bread at kwik and the great value crap was thrown out to the birds. last time i make that mistake i hope.
Thank you Danno ❤️✝️🙏
Would some of the empty spots have anything to do with superbowl
But Sherrod Brown just said down at the union hall that things are going great, so don't believe your lining 👀 eyes!! Watching everyday from Trumbull County, Ohio 🇺🇸 😊
I hope this Nov. we in OH can be rid of that fella. Trumbull's close to the Amish grocery salvage stores in Geauga/ Ashtabula area. Great deals to be had there.
anthor lyer in blm leeders
He is terrible. A real putz
Thanks Danno
It would be great if you could show where it's made n show ingredients thanks
Those strawberries look awful, especially for that price!
Thanks again, Money Saving Man. Our grocery super hero!🙂
Good morning 🍵
Still some stuff is cheaper at aldi.. thanks danno for checking all the prices.. those killer deals at kroger was awesome!!
Our 60 count eggs in my area was 9.67
I'm glad they're hiking prices because Aldi is located right behind Walmart where I live.
Perhaps they are raising prices to pay for all the personal shoppers who are running around in the way fillling those pick up and Spark orders.
I agree with the fact that the paid shoppers are always in the way & sometimes very rude.
Between the personal shoppers and the stockers blocking the aisles, there is no room for the store shoppers. Lots of rudeness, cart shoving going on. Feels like black friday
@@angelagagnon4042 I totally agree, I don't go very often , just frustrates me. Prices are not that low anymore.
Wal Mart doe's not have food in the back. When a truck is unloaded the items are seperated onto carts according the isle and taken out to that isle. There is no room in the back for storage except for kids clothes and bikes. What you see on the shelf is it.
Checked and commented the price of a dozen eggs as $1.89 at Walmart in Bowling Green OH just last night. Checked again now and they are $3.12!😮
strawberries are probably through the roof due to dipped strawberries for Valentines day! Total rip off-
These prices are going to start crushing families already struggling to make ends meet.
These prices are not even 10% of what it will be
Families are gonna have to eat more casseroles and stir fry type meals to make food stretch plus buying those good deals on the loss leader's. It can be done but it takes a lot of planning ❤.
yup need 2 go 2 food shevs dont b embarressed
Good afternoon, Danno.
Using stuff... Not buying stuff now. I over stocked on perishables in '22 so I have a bunch of canned goods to go through.
Good for you that’s very smart I need to do the same
wow 9 bucks for strawberries ,Its strawberry season down here in Florida in a few weeks i hope its not that much
They did go up a $1 a pound more than 2023 here in Gainesville area where we pick them every year. $4.95
99c lb at Albertsons, limit 2.
@janedow5366 Albertsons closed a lot of stores in FL 7 yrs ago, we no longer have one in our area.
@@lisah.8653 any stores the own? It's like Kroger. Names are different in almost every state, but it's still Kroger.
Not so sure many sales are coming
60 count eggs are now $15.38 in my Walmart in Chipley, FL which is in the Florida panhandle.
$15.13 in TX. They were $11.44 in December. Yeah, that's 3% according to Biden math.
Our Neighborhood Walmart just announced on 3/12/24 that they are closing as of 4/12/24. Same day they marked down all their meat. I was able to get some good deals and stock up my freezer.
its funny val day ppl wiil still spend millons on crap not needed
I miss those prices on Healthy Choice. My local Walmart (closest one) doesn't even stock those much anymore and they're like $4+.
A lot of us are shopping in our freezers this week. No grocery stores. Maybe next week will be better.
Walmart + from 9. to 12.95???
No free 30 day trial either.
Canadian grocery prices at this point are impossible. Most of us have to survive off junk because we can’t afford real food.
Yet with the pricing and supply demand, their loss with throwing out im sure far out weighs if they were just priced properly
I remember when Morton Salt, the one with the ☔ on it was .29¢ and the off brand ones were like .17¢ - .20¢ 😔
With the shortages of Pasta lately, I kicked my purchases up a little and now along with what pasta I already had, I have pasta coming out of my ears so I will no longer get pasta except on an as needed basis. Soon I will have Instant Coffee and Tea coming out of my ears and I will quit buying them. I don't drink coffee, but have been stocking up on it for members in my group and Barter. Be prepared and be safe my friends. Keep Prepping.
Thanks love your channel
Last i looked, 60 count large eggs were $14.xx but at least a kiss under $15 in 3 different stores. From what i can tell, the price is variable a bit based upon your supply chain's avian flu.

5 dozen eggs are 26.00 at Walmart I. Oregon. I guess I won't be eating eggs any time soon
We sell our fresh eggs $4/18, lol. Central Florida.
Always wondered if the turkeys are weighed Frozen or unfrozen Pryor to pricing them.🤷♀️
I went to walmart a few days ago, a 25 lb bag of great value granulated sugar is now 19.97 which is more than double the price since 2019
If you're in the Food Lion area,Hormel,Dinty Moore complete meals $1.75 if you have a $5 off $25 from Dollar General they will take it Saturday they honor competitors coupons
The sticker is correct and 60 eggs at Walmart are cheaper than 90 eggs at Sam's.
I'm in Maine. I went to Shaw's today and was stunned by the prices.
None of our stores, including Wal-Mart are low in products. I have noticed people are buying more frozen products. Maybe people are just saying screw it and not buying these over-priced products. Love the Dune Books! You have good taste in reading material. 🙂
I don't drink enough coffee to buy those big tubs. It goes stale before I get to the bottom.
Most of these fruits are off season or entering the end of thier season. We can find generally cheaper produce prices at a couple of places other thsm Walmsrt.

I remember having paid 5.18 for 1 dozen eggs, with the first go around of Avian flu. Won't do that again.
