As a x-bow player myself I totally agree on the state of x-bow decks. The more meta change the more it sucks. I used to finish top 29 / 68 with it few years ago and now I struggle to stay at top 500 that’s crazy

is it actually a balance problem or still matchmaking issue? because for me and my clanmates it has always been a problem when changing decks to suddenly face hard counter, and when you change to a deck that can counter this hard counter what a surprise we never face it again.
I could be wrong (but a lot of companies do it), preferential matchmaking. You have bad counters all the time, buy something in the shop to help your matchups. And welcome to modern business practises. Least it isn't Diablo levels of scum
probs matchmaking. i once went 0-5 in a gt because no matter my deck, my opponent had a 100-0: i play x-bow, he plays rg. i play lumberloon, he plays 2 buildings + rocket. i play pumpbow hypercycle, he plays 3 big spells egiant, etc.
It happened with me too.... When I switch to lightning in my deck I face minion horde and some off meta deck and when I again switch to fireball I get sparky and inferno...That made me feel lost🥴 They should nerf the e giant

Especially on mid-ladder you wanna make sure that fb + log kills witches and wizards and after that you might wanna get up the Knight vs all the ground spam and then probably tesla/archers
I reached 6.6k with 2.9 12 days before the season ended. I tried pushing more, but now I'm stuck at 6.4k 'cause of Recruit Hogs and other bad hard counters :( The meta's gonna be like this for the next few months I suppose...
I feel like all meta decks are egiant, or some kind of big tank in front, its not like i dont see other decks, hog or goblin barrel, but i more often lose to those kind of decks with tanks in front, coz i meet them more often then others. Eragon, try log bait deck? I've stopped playing CR because of p2w system, soo don't know what is in the meta. Log bait that i love: Princess, inferno tower, rocket, log, goblin gang, electro spirit, valkyria and goblin barrell.
i also cant play xbow in 5500-6000 range. every deck litterally has either a Pekka, mega knight, or giant skele with like 2 win conditions. I had 1 game where the opponent had pekka, mega knight, hog and balloon in the same deck :(((

With decks like that you have to pre place Tesla and defend and spell cycle or go in when he plays Mk in the back
