WOW! That is one hell of a build! GREAT inspiration for sure!! Thanks for sharing and glad you got to fix it up/make repairs on it again. I have yet to do any major body modifications to a vehicle. But I do have a kit in mind where I plan on doing a pretty sever chop to "dip my toe" in the modification builds.
I’m not surprised to find that I just love what you created .. I’m sure you had a lot of builders wondering just what you were building from those progress pictures !! lol
Very cool! It’s more of a show rod to me than rat. The original rat rod were just primer and rust because the builder didn’t paint it. It was built for a coupe of other fords. You can find the video on it on TH-cam. It’s been painted to look like a salt flats car now and the owner who made em famous still has it 60 years later.
The bezels are photo etched "o's" of the appropriate size. Many etched gauge sets come with them. Best to apply it with clear enamel paint. Thanks for watching.
@ thanks Tim. I understand that part. I should have been more specific. In regards to the process do you scrape off the existing plastic bezels prior to gluing on the etch bezels.
Old Doc was one of my inspirations for starting my channel over 12 years ago!!! Beautiful build brother Tim.
Thanks! Cranky is a special one. LOL. Glad you enjoyed it.

This build is very aesthetically pleasing to look at. Great proportions. I really like how the front tires are forward of the original wheel base.
Keen eye! There are some interesting lines happening around the front wheels. It helps define the style of the car. Thanks for watching!

Beautiful build.
Do you think it would be possible if you can go through the process of using photo etch bezels on the guages?
The bezels are photo etched "o's" of the appropriate size. Many etched gauge sets come with them. Best to apply it with clear enamel paint. Thanks for watching.
@ thanks Tim.
