any music will do, as was proven with Jackson in Thriller or the great Calypso song Zombie Jamboree, the only thing you need to combat the zombie apocalypse is a sick dancing skills and a good beat.

Hello. She has said that she practices a song so much that it becomes muscle memory. Then, all she has to do is worry about the dancing. And when Lindsey first started, she did miss quite a few notes. But now it has been 18 years (dancing & violin). After that long, anyone would get great.

This is my favorite Lindsey Stirling song; I love the video, but I was surprised to see that it went along a more 'Thriller' path. When I hear it I imagine a royal ball, dancing, fencing, and a princess attempting to escape as she realizes that everyone at the party is a monster in disguise. That's just what I imagined. This is fun too.

Essex Class Cleric. Musical Cleric.They are repelled by her violin. Her Holy Symbol. Cleric with some control undead because why not make them dance to her tune? Could also argue her god or godess has a sense of humor and all undead have to dance while being turned. they'd have to be resisting it to stick around but not manage to resist the dancing.
AuroraLalune Actually more of a bard of the laughing god since a cleric would instantly destroy the zombies with holy sound, whereas a bard usually could simply repel them but not destroy...also musical cleric=bard/minstrel with holy build m8...
Essex Class Possible but let's not forget traditional play would dictate if the undead are strong enough or the cleric not strong enough it's possible they would be repelled not destroyed. last i heard turn undead didnt destroy but then newer systems might differ. my better half has been playing since the original D&D and i admit i have a personal preference for 3.5 as it's great for world building, not always as specific leaving more room for variance. As DM I'd rule difference reactions for different level checks. closer the more effort. my better half is much the same. might just depend what type of group you play with or run for. truthfully, i can think of several ways this could be done in the systems i know well but then i specialize in casters, healers, druids, bards, mages, and enjoy complex characters as a player. my better half likes to mix it up and is more specialized with the crit heavy one hit your dead characters, not neccessarily rouges in my experience but he's well rounded in knowledge and experience as a player and a dm both. Your using different terms so im betting you play more of the newer systems. I admit i don't know them as well. tried it, don't prefer it at all. simplifies too much. i enjoy being creative with my characters and as a dm the raw flexibility of 3.5 so... meh. the beauty of it is we are both likely right. there are actually many ways it could be done but from a gameplay perspective I'd say shed be a low level cleric. she can't smite them, only repel. you cant smite them or anything really till later. turn undead is repelling them however if they make certain saves they can resist. it's in the rules. those aren't dm rules, those are book rules. clerics don't automatically destroy undead. they have to build up to it. optional rules also allow for greater number of effected targets with an area spell like that or a greater range with more like, effort, and lower saves to resist turning. essentially speaking it would explain it however i suspect we are coming from two different directions and levels of experience. I've been playing for nearing a decade but I still don't know everything there is to know. it's a rather vast tabletop game with something for everyone. truthfully, i enjoy ironic characters who can do unexpected things and enjoy innovating within the rules as they are with very little if any dm rules and then only when needed to integrate dm world with it so... might just be we are coming from two different systems and a little different perspectives generationally speaking as well. Id wager niether of us is really wrong. just different approaches from different systems or purhaps simply difference approaches personally. i know clerics tend to be varied as the dieties they worship in gameplay and in what gifts they have in 3.5 and so it makes a little more sense especially as character behavior also changes depending on the dieties values and/or demands. you really could be required to use music for everything like that if you served as a cleric for a diety that required it.

I know this is an old comment group, but I had to say this. I've actual designed a bard for my group that is made using this as an inspiration. (We run Pathfinders and I took the Dirge Bard archetype.)
