Furthermore, he gets butt hurt by Zhou Yu, gets punked by his mother, forgives Zhou Yu, takes out his anger on Lu Su, who is arguably the only person in the Southland whom has a functioning brain at this point. Well played, sir. Well played.
Liu Bei was never a threat to them, his goal was jing and an alliance with Sun Quan to oppose Cao Cao, think about it from their pov, a war with jiang dong would exhaust their military strength even if they won Cao Cao would come in and take them out, the very same reason is also why Sun Quan shouldnt wage war because of the rising threat of Liu Bei. Hurrican far away really Cao Cao could invade them in a month with such short time do you think either side who ever won in a war would be ready.
Sun Quan is almost as big a moron as Lü Bu and Yuan Shao were. Zhou Yu thinks he is Zhuge Liang's rival/arch-nemesis, but in reality ... he doesn't even come close. Sima Yi is the only one who measures up as Zhuge Liang's rival and nemesis. And even with decades longer to live, Zhou Yu would still fail. What's hilarious is that he thinks defeating Zhuge Liang would somehow "save" Jiang Dong. In reality, it makes no difference, as Cao Cao is a bigger threat to them than 10 Zhuge Liangs.
They could not decide clearly to attack jing because they always think cao cao will be the one to gain in the long run . They should forget thinking about cao cao first . The south land should focus first on their attack . About cao cao that’s only zhuge liang tricks !
Sun Quan may seem as indecisive as Yuan Shao, but not for the same reasons. Yuan Shao couldn't make up his own mind about anything; that's not Sun Quan's issue. It was proven that he has no real power. After he removed Zhou Yu from his employ, his generals disobeyed him. Mother Wu saw it: the only way he could maintain power is by giving the tally back to Zhou Yu and going with his plot. The only mistake Sun Quan made was dismissing Lu Su, but he'll come to see he was wrong there.
The Sun-Liu marriage would never have worked in Sun's favor. Liu Bei, if nothing else, has an imperial last name. Within a generation, the people's loyalty would fall under the Liu side of the family.
this is a bunch of crap. Sun Quan takes a huge heel turn and looks about as stupid as Yuan Shao! WTF. Say what you will about Cao Cao, but at least he takes the advice of upfront and honest men. At some point, Zhou Yu and Sun Quan have just got to let it go.
Cao Cao always has his own plans: he uses his advisors to fine-tune his own plans. Sun Quan... It doesn't look like he has a plan, he's merely looking for "whose plan seem good at this time?" in short, Cao Cao is true capable leader CEO. Sun Quan is a 'hands off' delegator owner.
Heres what I don't get, the emperor gave Liu Bei the edict to remove Cao Cao from power. Surely this would mean a hearty reward if Liu Bei accomplishes this task. At the point where the story is at now, with the Three Kingdoms pretty much established, why couldn't Shu agree that after Cao Cao is removed from power Shu lands would go to the state of Wu? As much as I like Zhuge Liang, I can't help but feel that is was around his joining Liu Bei that Liu Bei starts having other, more personal ambitions besides the restoration of the Han.
At this point, Liu Bei and Zhuge Liang are well aware Sun Quan isn't a true Han loyalist nor are his ambitions limited to Jingzhou. He wants hegemony as well. Plus the Southland distrusts Liu Bei. They'll take a promise of Jingzhou once the Han is restored as a rather dumb excuse.
Furthermore, he gets butt hurt by Zhou Yu, gets punked by his mother, forgives Zhou Yu, takes out his anger on Lu Su, who is arguably the only person in the Southland whom has a functioning brain at this point. Well played, sir. Well played.
instablaster.
Trust gets you killed.
Love gets you hurt.
Being real gets you hated.
I do like Lu Su ♥
If he hadn't prevented the grand commander from killing Kongming, the battle of Red cliffs would've been lost
If only they listen to Lu Su, and Kongming gives Jing to WU, thing might have turn out differently in the end.
Love Lady Wu calling the kids out on their bulls**t and their half-assed plan^^

Zhou Yu... I hate him and yet I love him. Such an esteemed general, yet still acts like a kid... Only major Zhou in the series :)

In real life, Gongjin wasn't. Only in the book is he this petty.

Liu Bei was indeed an opportunist.
every successful Lord was.
oh Zhou yu ahhhhhh....
How stupid is Sun Quan??? He has just changed his face many times in a too short time :-(((
