I like your approach - not micromanaging, but paying attention and getting involved when necessary. You are very personable. I learned a lot and appreciate you taking the time to make the video. Thanks!
Finally a video that isn't a giant advertisement. Thank you for explaining bee keeping simply, and explaining the knowledge resources that are available as well as the basic necessary tools of the trade.
I've found that I'm developing an interest in beekeeping (who knows? Maybe it'll be a retirement hobby) and I've been educating myself. I love your style, and you seem to be addressing all of the questions I'm having. Plus, I like that you've gone organic, as that's the path I'd like to follow.
I am in west GA, and will be getting my first nuc of bees this coming Saturday. Excitedly nervous. I am finding it is an expensive hobby, but hopefully will be blessed with healthy bees and good maintenance.
I like the way your presentation sounded. Very easy for me to pickup what you trying to tell us. I will be getting bees in the spring and I'm doing my education now like you said. Still need to buy tools, thanks, this helps 👍
I had been interested in keeping some hives for awhile but was intimidated after seeing some really technical books. Your video about beginning bee keeping was really helpful and informative. So you have a new subscriber now!
Thank you for the video! Great information for beginners. And hope no more you have helped me understand so much more about bee keeping and I appreciate you!
THIS IS ONE I'VE MISSED, I TRADED AN OLD CAR THAT RAN TO 3 STRONG HIVES , SEVERAL FRAMES , TOOLS AND WHAT ALL BEE IDEMS THEY HAVE, I HAVE A WEEK TO GET READY, THIS HELPS
Thank you for your very informative video. I am new to all of this and have bought a book relevant to myself being in Albury, NSW, Australia. Also I have watched a couple of doco's as well. Now just viewing youtube channels and wanting to learn as much as possible. It's the middle of winter here now so a great time for me to start getting all the bits and pieces together to start. Cheers
Just starting out on my own beekeeping journey; a good friend has gifted me one hive and basic equipment. I loved your video and your presentation.... All great.... a small suggestion, if you are doing 'stand up' presentations, get the zoom a little closer.... Blessings from Érin....
thank you for the video im looking into bee keeping to produce my own mead for my homestead one question starting out how many pounds of honey can come from a 10 sheet box
hey brother good stuff. I just got 2 hives this year and learning. I though you did a great job explaining the "tools" of the trade and broke it down very well. I enjoyed and subscribed, if you care to come on over we started a TH-cam channel and working on building it up. I watched a few different videos today and enjoyed each of them. thanks.
awesome very informative video. I did beekeeping for a few years and gave it up. it is a very time consuming and labor intensive job keeping up with the bees and getting stung all the time gets old. I admire the people that do bee keeping it just was tough for me up north in Pennsylvania the winters were tough and usually lost around 50% of my hives. constantly rebuilding. Thanks for sharing these videos will come in handy for people looking to learn about honey bees. 👍
Got a package of bees (I am a beginner) and installed them in their new home...went back 4 days later and the queen had not been released yet...I released her...noticed comb being built up where there were no frames and thought wow...you know being new and all it was pretty cool...I picked up the comb to look at it and there was another queen there already doing her thing...hopefully I can find the other queen alive and get another hive...but the loose comb they started building is what I wonder about...should I scoot the queen and other bees off the comb and put a frame in there or should I let them build up that space with comb and remove it later?...seems like it might be more work if I decide to take it out later?...Darnedest thing to happen...well I guess I got double the bargain...I really should try to get the other queen and start another hive...Probably a silly question, but can you buy bees without the queen? Thanks for the videos...they have helped a lot..
When you talked about ways to get your bees, you missed one, Dr Leo has over 70 hives and has never bought a bee. he sets up swarm traps and catches local bees. he has had about a 50% success rate at catching them and close to an 80% survivial rate without any treatment.
I'm not a bee keeper, but I find your voice very calming and I like to learn about new things. I subscribed.
Hey, something about your demeanor and attitude has connected with me better than most if the other beekeeping vids out there. Subbed.
Joe Hardy Thanks, Joe! Glad you like these beekeeping vids!
Same but i know why. Honor and reverence for God. Now we need more vids!
Southern charm? 😇
Hey Joe, this guy does do a great job. I have a buddy that has a new channel that I think you may like. He is Central Beekeeping Supply.

Thanks for the video. You are educating a lot of us!
I HAVE WATCHED MANY BEE keeper videos and the one tip that stood out for me is: GET BEES THAT ARE LOCAL -
RAISED IN YOUR AREA.
15:25 'Merica.
Doesn't even flinch.
Correction: "America", before the Democrats and single mother voters take over.
Free Speech yeah... Those damn women and their right to vote! Who do they think they are? Persons with equal rights?! I don't think so!
Halby
Women have equal rights. Now, they demand special preference. Please tell us what rights men have that women don't have?
Free Speech I didn't say men do have any more (or fewer) rights. You seem to dislike that women are able to vote.
Where's part 2 - I really liked part 1.
Thank you for 4 the video. 😊
Awesome job Man humble simple informative inspiring excellent :) !
Thanks dude. Appreciate the effort. Good vid.
W Roberts Thanks for watching!

A friend uses dishwashing gloves, and says they work great with less bulk.
Excellent
Are you near a gun range? Heard shots in the distance, thinking 12 gauge?
I recently called about the maxant hive tool and they no longer carry it due to manufacturing it cheaper in China. Do you recommend any others?
I totally subscribed ❤
Awesome video 👍👍thank you
When should I put my hive out for the first time
I love the gun the gun fire
Is that a gun or an explosive going off in the background?
That's the sound of freedom.
Could you give the name of the books again.

Today you just google it. Lol. Forget about books.
Do you live in a war zone??
shreve99 Haha, not quite. Just out in the country.
Sounds like a firing squad on execution day.
That is the sound of freedom. Most likely it is some country boy calibrating the scope on his deer rifle.
@@Lockdeath You beat me to it. 'Merica.
