REALLY glad I found your video. My son loves fully articulated figures and the JoyToy models with the poseable fingers is a major feature he would enjoy. That this model does not have poseable fingers would have been a huge disappointment.

I got the White one and the Blue mystery box Hurricane Mech's in the toy trash sale, like you I had the exact same issues. The left handle bar comes out easy the right one is okay so it must be a mould issue, I ended up dabbing some model gloss varnish on my left one and pushed it in and let it dry and pulled the handle bar out and put it back in and now it sits tightly. The other disappointing thing is it's clever how they made the bikes look,but they should have had pegs and connections to plug them into to hold the bike form. Because once in bike form all you have to do it press a little here or a little there and the whole look is off. Nothing sits right or looks symmetrical you have to constantly make adjustments to make it look neat. The pilots handle bar holding hands easily slip off because they don't have grip, but if they made it so they connected in places to hold the bike form and gave it handle bars a figure could grip better then I'd score them higher. The figure you said is your favourite Joytoy 1/18 what is that figure called? She looks really cool. In Bot form 8/10 bike 5/10 as you said its their first attempt at this, so fingers crossed in the future they'll have improved the transformed mode and maybe even make a exoskeleton that a 1/18 can pilot wear in combat/engineering/ lifting etc but it can transform into a bike so they can use it as a vehicle too. I'm hoping to get one of the larger Fear Mech's in January I can't decide which one to get, which is your personal favourite?. I'm leaning more towards the Fear IV because I love Snipers and as you know both the Mech and the Pilot are Snipers but I also really really want the US Navy Seals set of 3. Sorry for the Essay, I've been stuck indoors for 679 days now because I'm so susceptible to covid even though I've had 2 vaccines and im getting my booster done here at home next Tuesday so I'm a lonely dude with a lot of toys 😂😂😂.........🥺😭 🤣
Nothing to be sorry about, it's a good essay! My favourite fear mech?? Hmmm maybe number 3, they all look amazing, but suffer from similar issues - feet ankle joints not strong enough, set up time etc. Yeah, the have bikes... Better just as bikes it just as robots in my opinion. I've recently had my booster injection her in China, fortunately I'm not high risk so I can go out (I'd loose my job if I couldn't).
Another great review! Appreciate the honesty on the work necessary to transform them. Agree with your 'same universe' comment - be an awesome battlefield diorama mixing these with the FEAR mechs and newer ground and air calvary figures. Thanks for the review!
Hi AAT ! I was hoping you could help me - I received my Hurricane figures, and it appears my Hurricane X-HH02 (the tan one) is missing a handle to one of his guns. These are the moving "U-shaped" gun-metal coloured handles that stick up on each gun - but mine is missing one handle. How do you go about getting a replacement part for your Joy Toy figures ? I saw in one of your videos where they sent you a replacement part. Is there an email address or contact point within Joy Toy to obtain missing parts ? (PS - one of my Soviet WW2 Soldiers was also missing the top part of his backpack, so I was hoping to get that as well). Thanks from Australia, keep up the GREAT work mate !

I've ordered the white version and held off from the other. Blind boxes are stupid but I can be swayed if they're both great 💀
That is some straight up Smooth Criminal ankle articulation there. I'm extremely interested in the recent announcement that Joy Toy has the Warhammer 40K license for 1/18. I can't think of another company I'd rather see Games Workshop work with.
Thanks for the comprehensive review ! I have the 2x standard versions on the way & like you, I will leave them in Mech mode. I was never a Transformers fan because I felt a figure should be a robot OR a vehicle, not both ... because trying to accurately address both forms meant sacrificing something functional or design wise - in this case, the cycle parts look weird just hanging off the robots, so I'll be leaving them off for display. I think the price point of ~US$65 each is not condusive to "Blind Boxing" & I can't afford to gamble getting the same one again ... maybe works for a capsule toy.

Hey, I got my 2 Hurricane mechs today and I noticed, the joints seems a bit loose (not tight like the other figures). Is it the same for you?
Depends on which joints. They tend to pop out a fair bit
