    Thank you very much, Alistair, I've been practicing and learning my brand new AE-20 for about 5 days now since I opened up the box, I'm a keyboard/Synthesizer player and decided to take up the Aerophone as a second instrument, right now I'm saving up for the Aerophone basics course,

    Thanks Alistair! You're a wonderful teacher and you've helped me sort through the AE-30's complexities much better and faster than I could do on my own. It's so reassuring to watch your videos as I know no one else that plays this instrument. It feels sort of like I'm the last man on earth with an AE-30 and now I've discovered you in another land.

    Thank you immensely, you really helped me with those settings !!!
    I just started playing the AE-20, but I dabbled around with a sax and clarinet years and years ago.
    I'm loving this experience with the aerophone though !!!!!
    I'm gonna check out your online course too.
    Totally subscribed to you too !!!
    Thanks again for taking the time to go through the settings with us.
    Have a wonderful day !!!!!

      Such a lovely comment. Thanks so much.
      My goal is always to help people get to know their wind synth and get them broaden their knowledge to achieve all the great possibilities.
      I think people often forget how much time and effort has to go into making these videos. Comments like this are my inspiration to do more.

    Alistair, Thank you for another great video. I, along with others have missed hearing from you these past few months as you have been working on your new course. I particularly benefitted from your setup of the Bend range up and down and the corresponding bite sense (Ewind for me). I have struggled with getting a good vibrato on my 20, and this greatly helps to put me in the right direction. I was not using nearly enough bend up and bend down range to get a nice vibrato. That 30 second portion of your video greatly improved my playing on the instrument, and I thank you for that. Best regards from Texas.

    First of all, thank you so much for your videos! Can you tell me how to get the automatic vibrate on my pro30? Thanks!!!

    • @isax.academy
      @isax.academy  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately that’s not a very straightforward question.
      Automatic vibrato is built into some sounds like the flute and violin. They are Super Natural sounds and work slightly differently. The synth sounds are Zen-Core and the vibrato again is usually a used by an LFO modulation in the synth.
      We then have the embouchure which can control vibrato to a much finer degree and some people produce a vibrato effect with the breath.
      I think what you’re possibly referring to is the modulation which would need programming into each sound. That requires digging into the editor app.

    Hi Alistair, I just got an AE-20, I was wondering how you can "bend" down, a smooth bend say a half step or more, rather than a step down, so bending a guitar string rather than fretting a new fret at the equivalent pitch,Ive found presding the thumb buttons is a staggered step sound not a smooth bend,so my settimg must be off. I'm a guitar plater who plays a bit of Irish whistle. I find your videos very inspiring, so much so I bought one, thank you!

    • @isax.academy
      @isax.academy  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I often use the bite sensor set to Sax bite setting which allows a nice smooth bend (with practice). You should be able to do it with the thumb too. Perhaps watch the videos carefully again on the settings?
      I’m not a guitar player, but perhaps a bend up first then release downward is more like a guitar would do?

    Dear Alistair, thanks for this great and extensive Video.
    I have a very specific question that might be of interest for others players too.
    As Sax and (Keyboard) Synth Player I would love to have some Pad Sounds with control of Cutoff and Resonance.
    At my JP-8000 I have Resonance at a Pedal and Cutoff at the Control-Strip.
    So I can make like „Whale-Screams“ and more nuanced Accents. But I can’t figure out how to activate the two motion controllers and set them, like at a supersaturated sound. I really hope you could help with a written tip or a tutorial video

    • @isax.academy
      @isax.academy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So you want a drone sound you can manipulate or is this for playing a sound and controlling cutoff as you play?

    • @yrtgmx
      @yrtgmx 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@isax.academy I want the main sound to have cutoff control (raise aerophone up) and resonance control (tilt sideways).
      But knowing to do so for the drone tone is an interesting fact on addition, too.

    I just got my AE-20 and was wondering if there's a global adjustment for reverb, or does each scene need to be adjusted separately? I looked at the manual but didn't see setting adjustment for reverb. BTW, thanks for the great videos.

    Hi everyone. I have just purchased anew AE-20 and I have an issue that has a occurred every time I play it so far, where the sound just ‘freezes’ producing a continuous tone. None of the controls then respond so you can’t stop the sound. If you are playing on batteries I have to take a battery out, or pull the AC adapter out if the socket. I have successful installed the latest OS. Any thought would be appreciated.

      Hi Kevin.
      First thing is, did you do a factory reset?
      Second, do you have it connected to any Bluetooth or USB device?
      There have been some users have this issue but it’s usually been because of a Bluetooth issue.
      You could also try turning Bluetooth off on the AE.

    I’ve got a serious problem with the AE20. I’m playing music on the AE20 with the AE20 audio then all of a sudden the instrument sound stops and a weird dying duck sound is played. I just got the AE20 two hours ago as a replacement from the first one I had that did the same thing. The first time I thought it was just a bad instrument but the same thing is happening. I followed the Alisters settings but still the same thing. Anyone else experienced this? If so how did you solve it?

      Hi Mel
      I believe you’ve got some good ideas from the iSax Facebook group?
      It sound like you might be accidentally catching a controller?
      The S1 S2, palm keys, thumb controllers can all cause issues if they an accidentally triggering. Also some sounds have effects built into them.

    Hello Alistar. Once again, I love your videos. I recently had to replace my AE30 with another. My defective one was (and still is) linked to the Aerophone Pro Editor. I cannot connect my new device to the editor. Have you had similar challenges in your journey? I see that you have many synths in your videos, so you may have:) I read the manual as well as spent an hour with Sweetwater, and still no success.

    • @isax.academy
      @isax.academy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. Very easy to fix.
      On your device with the editor app on, go to Bluetooth settings and find the AE-30.
      This will be your old one. You need to delete it. On iOS press the little i in a circle and choose ‘forget device’.
      Now open the editor app with the Aerophone on and you should be able to re-pair your new Aerophone.
      By the way. Just in case. Make sure you don’t have any other device in range that you tried to pair the Aerophone with.
      Bluetooth is very good at stealing connections.

    • @jamesnichols757

      @@isax.academy unfortunately it the Aerophone 30 and app on my iPad is paired but the new Aerophone isn’t connected to the editor. When I turn the Aerophone on and off again, I see the volume flash on my iPad, so something seems to acknowledge each other. • @isax.academy
      @isax.academy  ปีที่แล้ว

      The volume flash?
      Do you have something else connected?
      Is there anything else at all nearby with Bluetooth? Make sure Bluetooth is off on everything else!
      You should have found an entry on the iPad for the old Aerophone under Bluetooth connections in the settings on the iPad.

    Hello brilliant Alistair Parnell. Thanks for the video about electronic wind instruments. Let me express my opinion. Your videos are intended for amateurs to surprise and amaze them with the capabilities of electronic wind instruments. No one you contact will play these instruments, with rare exceptions. I think you need to reorient your audience. You need to turn to wind musicians who will understand you perfectly. And then you will have more time to play. That is, what hundreds of thousands of brass players expect from you. Rim Hasanov-Kardash. Be healthy!
