      I agree, because I am one. Its every question you ask. You’re not happy or fulfilled until you hear the even the slightest bit of an answer. Unfortunately, that’s led to most of my unhappiness, not finding answers really does strike a bell inside of me. Of course, I hope you understand if you aren’t one that it is a rather dark side of life to be on, but the side I prefer the most.

    Nihilism isn't necessarily as dark as people tend to think.
    Realizing how futile life is, the morality & ethics... Allows you to create your own meaning.
    Thank you for the music Lucas, it is very enjoyable.
    Good to see you left your description empty of words, allowing us to give it our own meaning.

    • @whitegoliath

      @@MelodyGardenia usually is called existentialism, hence you got ppl chasing for so much individual freedom and try to dump the gender stuff along the way. Which is logical ofcourse. Just they aren't aware that this is nihilism at the core.

    • @elistafford3446
      @elistafford3446 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@oocidental9873 because no mater what you do humanity will destroy itself, be destroyed by the sun, something else, or die from the universe deteriorating around us. And even then you will most likely fail before any of that. This is where the different sub types come in, when looking deeper into this you have a few options, you can see hopelessly and pointless to everything, you can see meaningless in the bigger picture of things and focus on smaller things and the people around you, or you see the pointless and decided that your going to make the most of life anyways, thus finding an ounce of purpose once again. Of course, in the end, all of these have the same outcome. Hope this helped

    • @whitegoliath
      @whitegoliath 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@oocidental9873 there's 2 kinds of nihilism(actually more but let's keep it at this) , one where you become apathic to life and remain in ur bed. The other becomes active and tries to create something meaningful rather than remaining apathic. The latter being called existentialism(existential nihilism) , if life is meaningless, you have a blank slate and live life how you want to and create something meaningful to you. Yes life will he difficult, but there will be meaning in suffering. Sometimes it will be difficult and you feel the despair that it's not worth it to go through all this meaningless suffering. Søren Kierkegaard called this "angst" and it will he something you will have to deal with often as someone who's nihilistic.

    I've had a lot of very interesting philosophical discussions with a nihilist lately (and I mean a real nihilist, not this "everything is horrible and dark" type). I am more of an Idealist myself, so we had a lot to talk about. And we actually became friends because of those discussions. One of the most intelligent people I know.

    • @TrionBulldog
      @TrionBulldog 4 ปีที่แล้ว +33

      So you don't think life is meaningless? How could you not? Luckily we're very simple creatures who tend to overlook the obvious truths of life and drown ourselves in meaningless, time-consuming jargon like politics, money, and hobbies. This prevents us from living in a melancholy state. However, that doesn't change the fact that we're all worm dirt. Here now, gone tomorrow. Even those of us who are "remembered" will only be remembered as long as time allows. No real point to anything, sorrow or happiness.

    • @eliasbischoff176
      @eliasbischoff176 4 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      @@TrionBulldog I don't. Because while an individual may not have an impact on much, interactions can. Also, just to be sure, are you talking about meaning or purpose not existing? Because I believe in individual purposes, but not in some higher meaning,which would be God-given.

    • @eliasbischoff176
      @eliasbischoff176 4 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@TrionBulldog I see it like this: Life doesn't have a sacred value at first. Life is nothing more than a chance. A chance for pretty much everything. So I guess it comes down to if what you do with that chance is worth anything. And it won't be, once the world is coming to an end, but it is in the moment. Because the world is still there, and we are still here, giving each other's deeds a value. A social and an emotional value

    It happens that your energy suddenly ends and the fires of ambition are extinguished in your young heart. You suddenly grow old and surrender to the reality of the situation, waiting for your final resting place. The sweetest pieces of funeral music. When you hear them, your feeling is as if you are floating with your soul among the cemeteries, reading the names of their inhabitants. Their memories are no longer except on rocks. You only hear their moans. You are mixed with sadness, torment, and depression. At times, at other times, you are overwhelmed by the dread of death and the terror of its hour

    So you stand in the desolated lands that used to be your beautiful city. You catch a glimpse of your reflection on a nearby car window as it stared back at you, you couldn't see any life left in its eyes, you knew better than to be mad with the exterior world by now, you just accepted entropy as the absolute certainty and carried on with your plans, wich you don't know will work. But in the end, what's there more to loose?
    It's not if like the dead are capable of suffering or feeling pain, they don't.
    As you continue on to the center of the city to face your final enemy, your mind doubts no more, yet you still yearn for meaningfulness. Not that it would make a difference.

      @@bluestonepika_pikaaachuuu1309 Well when you are severely depressed and suffer from anxiety, nihilism supports that nothing ultimately matters. If you manage somehow to not let the negative effects of nihilism affect you you will be left with some very positive outcomes. For e.g I used to get really anxious about the future but I said to myself that one day I'm going to die so nothing is really worthy of making me feel so overwhelmed. Nihilism can be applied everywhere, it's main essence can really soothe your anxiety. Think about this mindset: I'm anxious about A, but in the end nothing really remains or matters so this anxiety A will ultimately not affect me". Try and search about nihilism and anti natalism, they can be quite risky and can make you lose hope but if you manage to somehow grasp the real importance of those theories you will be helped immensely. What you should keep in mind is that you are a human being with very limited abilities to control the future and the things that might await you.. Ask yourself, is it really worth it, getting so depressed and anxious about things that will come either way? Let me tell you it's definitely not. Accept that life is a cycle of fate and our decisions and their outcome

      I'd like to add a different viewpoint to this conversation. A lot of people twist Nihilism into something positive-they use it as fuel for their life. I never understood positivity because it stems from make-believe human concepts like "hope", "fairness", "perseverance".
      If nothing truly matters, as it is the case, why do people gravitate to focus on the positive? Because it "feels good", because "Instinct for self-preservation"? Arguing FOR life is no less right/wrong than arguing AGAINST it. Yet everybody caves in when the option of nonexistence pops up. Regardless whether it is caused externally or by suicide, people never fail to mention how "WRONG" and "PERVERSE" death is. But as any other superstition, this one is also based on an assumption, namely, the assumption that life is worth living. You could just as easily and validly argue the opposite point from the opposite view.
      And nonexistence is logically preferable. Death isn't even a state it's simply a word meaning "unalive"; and being "unalive" does not subject you to any joy or pain or an intermediate emotion, experience, or thought. What ludicrous entity in their right mind-when given the choice to be brought to this inexcusable torture ride we called the human experience-would volunteer? No amount of joy can make up for the fact we are aware and alive. We can only function properly if we lie to ourselves in order to abstain from the vain and cold reality. In a lot of cases, I see depression as a desperate unwanted fight for life where suicide would cure all. Asking one to live is no more selfish than one wanting to die for his own sake.
      There is a minority of pessimists who are fed up with being led on by other Nihilists only to be given hope at the end. Ironically, I HOPE this has reached someone who, too, refuses to forcefully convince himself that there's any value in life, be it made-up or empirically real.
      Life is alright. Death is alright. Suicide is an inherent human right.

    Everyone will die, there will be no Hell nor Heaven. Only the dark of the void, the maddening silence, the fact that no afterlife exists. If only the world knew that, they'd finally give up. Giving in to the fate that befalls us all is simply.... Nothing.... Nothing exists, nowhere to go after death. In life I was born with no soul, nothing to give up.
