I figured Deimos gets himself captured on purpose. That way his drone can track him. Chances are, Rainbow will remove Deimos to another black site for security. The Death Mark drone will follow them, and ping their location allowing the Legion to converge on this location. The other operators would want revenge for the death of Harry and many of their comrades at Tower. So a lot of operators may be at the site when the Legion arrives. It would be a good way to cripple Rainbow by eliminating many operators at once. In the previous video covering Deimos, another poster made a good point. Perhaps having operators at this new black site would enable the Legion to go over other sites that now have less security. Either which would be a win for Deimos.
This is actually such a strong gadget. Makes getting pinged during droning phase actually dangerous especially for roamers. A good mix of duelist + utility and he can definitely help with roam clearing. Really excited for the season 9 changes, I really hope this changes the game for the better, especially the scope changes, good riddance to 1.5x scopes.
I hope they do something about reinforcements, this change will lead to cav, vigil, pulse etc... Just leaving the site without reinf to not get pinged, which means others have to do more reinfs
@@A1stardan they already addressed that when they made reinforcements a shared resource and not 2 reinforcements per defender. As long as like half the team arent running out of site to do their own thing because I've had many games where only 2 people were really doing site setup.
Losing the 1.5 scope isnt gonna change anything people will just go to using the magnified acog scopes. Its just another unimportant change they made instead of focusing on important issues. Ubisoft is the king of changing things that dont need to be fixed.

Sure they could just make it work with the primary weapons but it takes away from the .44 being Deimos’ calling card (so for once, lore is effectively screwing with the gameplay). I think it would be cool if there was a random option for skins, like if you have random selected your gun skin/attachment skin would change each time you select the operator, could also do it for outfits/headgears.
We kind of knew this type of gadget was at least being theory crafted bc of the vagueness behind Jackals ability activation line. When ever Jackal uses his ability you hear "You are being hunted"/"You are being tracked." Instead of it being a more personal line or a line notifying you that its particularly Jackal.
I find Deimos to be interesting because he seems like a ‘headhunter’ of some kind. It’s like the assassin perk in COD where the person with the highest score in the game is targeted. It’ll be interesting to see how he works himself into the meta.
Im lowkey salty about it. The 1.5x was one of my favorite things they’ve added in the past couple years and to back track and remove them feels weird. I hated being a defender stuck with a 1x vs attackers holding with acog and ngl sometimes the extra magnification makes me wiff but thats a me problem 😂
Jager, higher in possibility due to his lack of pick rate throughout the seasons, bandit, never. Acog shreds when you combine high fire rate with magnification as it means easy spawnpeeks, Jager gun is just a bit too fast on the firerate but not too fast for the possibility of it bring added
I like almost every of the changes they showed. The only one I'm not sold on is the throwable ghost throw lines as I see it as removing a piece of skill; but we'll see, someone replied with a thought in the sense it won't be as I think and he may be right.

@@copycat6775 You do realize the whole point of it is for when collisions work unexpectedly and your c4 gets stuck somewhere? They stated it in the video. It's not about skill or making it easier. If anything it makes things harder because it cutters your vision, but it will make sure you don't complain about the game's collisions being buggy. They're saving their own asses so that when someone says "fix c4 getting stuck in debris" they can say "just use the trajectory preview".
Doesnt this mean that recoil for most guns has increased now? Since the grip reduces it 15% as opposed to 20%. And shotguns with lasers dont have the accuracy boost.
Yes, the recoil is going to be harder, which is strange considering the correct way to nerf the vertical grip was reducing the recoil of all/most guns. If you can ADS quicker with shotguns, then the precision isn't a problem (maybe the shotguns will be even stronger on longer distances while aiming).

The magnification changes are exactly what I was hoping for. 1.5x was the best of 1x and 2.5x, so there was really no point in choosing anything else. Now with these changes we’re back to a trade off.
His appearance and kit have very similar assets to ghost recon breakpoint and specifically that game, his mask and pistol (the pistol is called sharp thunder in GRB) is identical assets from the game
This is going to be undoubtedly one of the best updates we've had for this game in a long time. Everything here imo is exactly what the game needed, this is an excellent update for the future of this game

I think Demios' ability is fine but I think having it recharge is a bit too much. With how much attention that takes away from someone elses game its gotta be a bit more limited. Lion/Dokebii take seconds to deal with, a long duration live ping that pushes you into a 1v1 seems like alot when they can keep doing it.
Kinda wish Deimos had the nighthaven ar we've seen in the newest trailer n few others cuz one it looks like the r201 ar from titanfall games n its new gun that been teased for long while now n im sure it would be a fantastic weapon to add to our large selection of weapons

Actually sound like a strong attacker this time finally, he also sounds fairly balanced on paper and can take alot of skill to master because his gadget is very situational as an intel operator

Lot of the changes both for balance and quality of life seem really good. I didn't really have a problem with the 1.5x but oh well seems a lot of people are happy. Awesome new op. But that .44 is going to need to be nerfed.
the problem i have is that some weapons' iron sights are borderline unusable so being forced to use them if you want an ads time of under 800ms makes the game harder
love the changes, only thing i hate is the guide lines, making this very hand held for newer people, almost no skills involved now when it comes to nades
I hope Deimos's line for his gadget is. "You have been marked for DEATH." in a slow deep voice. It will be cool and adds nicely to the character. And I feel like this line will also add to the feeling of panic the defender will get knowing Deimos is coming for them.
My solution is that all attackers should carry the defuser. Same rule.. 1 has the active defuser, if a different attacker wants it (an attacker already in-site) you hit a button request and then the one with the active defuser gives you that defuse activation. If the attacker with the active defuser dies, all the remaining attackers get a mini notification on the bottom of the screen of who wants to have this activated for them and so on. Defenders guarding the defuser is super fun, but makes 2x harder for attachers to win the round.
Think about it.. This would increase plants around 25% (actually playing the objective) and make defenders actually defend the bomb sites and not roam all day to get kills like a TDM meta. Besides.. attackers need something man 😐
so your saying there is 0 incentive to stop them mid plant because the defuser would just go to the other attackers? defending the defuser after they die is one of the best defender parts

Deimos: 1v1 me, bro Deimos: I need you to spend 50% of our money on creating a very specific tiny helicopter that can realtime scan whoever I want. But it must also reveal me. So I can be a badass.
I think the scope changes are nice as a old player of the game coming back to it the multiple scopes made it confusing and hard to figure out which ones are good and which ones are bad
Deimos' entire ability having an emphasis on misdirection and getting operators to focus on him while another push happens from behind or something probably was intentional. There's totally lore implications behind that.
I get why they decided to make the throwables guide, but I feel that just takes away the need to better your skill at throwing and knowing which angles to use for each situation

Hey so I haven't touched siege since 2021, i played from during shifting tides, i wanna know if its worth coming back. Also, this operator is bad, r6 is about teamwork. deimos is more like a martydom than a useful operator, he exists to single out a problematic operator to 1v1 him, but any one can just say "oh im being tracked, hide here" and then deimos gets outsmarted. I think it should've been solo tracking without them seeing deimos. At least then it would function similar to Jackal but be only slightly better in 1 aspect and worse in another, jackal being good at silently tracking people but having rhytmic pings, deimos being bad at silently tracking (their teammates can see the drone surrounding them) but having realtime tracking of that player. In short, Deimos is bad, and it should've been an alternative to Jackal/Lion rather than being a solo operator like amaru. Jackal: Silent, All Operators can see, Rhtymic Pings Lion: Loud, All Operators can see, Rhytmic Pings Deimos: Silent, Target and Targetter can see, realtime pings Dokkaebi: Loud, All operators can hear, realtime noise What it should have been for Deimos was: Deimos: Silent, Only Targetter can see, Realtime pings. Like if it was like that I could see the appeal to it, like being a spy in tf2 where you intentionally sneak behind someone to mark em mentally and backstab them, but here it just seems to me its like you and your target are marked for death and its only a matter of luck and skill

I feel like you don’t even run the AK with it. Just bring the shotgun for utility and close range, then use the pistol for everything else.

Actually sound like a strong attacker this time finally, he also sounds fairly balanced on paper and can take alot of skill to master because his gadget is very situational as an intel operator
He’s just gonna get banned, this isn’t a good addition to the game when jackal does the same thing but way worse and has one of the highest ban rates

Lot of the changes both for balance and quality of life seem really good. I didn't really have a problem with the 1.5x but oh well seems a lot of people are happy. Awesome new op.

I think his primary should’ve been the nighthaven guns from the first cinematic that Deimos’s soldier had
Ubisoft is lazy and isn't going to add "too many" new guns to the game.

the problem i have is that some weapons' iron sights are borderline unusable so being forced to use them if you want an ads time of under 800ms makes the game harder

I hope Deimos's line for his gadget is. "You have been marked for DEATH." in a slow deep voice.
It will be cool and adds nicely to the character. And I feel like this line will also add to the feeling of panic the defender will get knowing Deimos is coming for them.
One of them is "This is how you die," referencing what he said to Harry: "This is how Rainbow dies"
My solution is that all attackers should carry the defuser.
Same rule.. 1 has the active defuser, if a different attacker wants it (an attacker already in-site) you hit a button request and then the one with the active defuser gives you that defuse activation.
If the attacker with the active defuser dies, all the remaining attackers get a mini notification on the bottom of the screen of who wants to have this activated for them and so on.
Defenders guarding the defuser is super fun, but makes 2x harder for attachers to win the round.
So stopping plants and winning clutches on defense is almost impossible?
Think about it..
This would increase plants around 25% (actually playing the objective) and make defenders actually defend the bomb sites and not roam all day to get kills like a TDM meta.
Besides.. attackers need something man 😐

so your saying there is 0 incentive to stop them mid plant because the defuser would just go to the other attackers? defending the defuser after they die is one of the best defender parts

dang ive been thinking for a long time once deimos becomes a character siege is close to being out of ideas
His ability doesn't look like anything in Siege, his "new" gun is the old .44 Mag with another skin, they are definitely out of ideas.
Deimos' entire ability having an emphasis on misdirection and getting operators to focus on him while another push happens from behind or something probably was intentional. There's totally lore implications behind that.
I love some of the changes but its crazy how many reworks there are and its gonna be like learning a whole new game after this comes out

I am absolutely puzzled by the scope changes but I adore the rest of the attachment changes. Attachments feel actually customizable for playstyle now

I get why they decided to make the throwables guide, but I feel that just takes away the need to better your skill at throwing and knowing which angles to use for each situation

Hey so I haven't touched siege since 2021, i played from during shifting tides, i wanna know if its worth coming back.
Also, this operator is bad, r6 is about teamwork. deimos is more like a martydom than a useful operator, he exists to single out a problematic operator to 1v1 him, but any one can just say "oh im being tracked, hide here" and then deimos gets outsmarted. I think it should've been solo tracking without them seeing deimos. At least then it would function similar to Jackal but be only slightly better in 1 aspect and worse in another, jackal being good at silently tracking people but having rhytmic pings, deimos being bad at silently tracking (their teammates can see the drone surrounding them) but having realtime tracking of that player.
In short, Deimos is bad, and it should've been an alternative to Jackal/Lion rather than being a solo operator like amaru.
Jackal: Silent, All Operators can see, Rhtymic Pings
Lion: Loud, All Operators can see, Rhytmic Pings
Deimos: Silent, Target and Targetter can see, realtime pings
Dokkaebi: Loud, All operators can hear, realtime noise
What it should have been for Deimos was:
Deimos: Silent, Only Targetter can see, Realtime pings.
Like if it was like that I could see the appeal to it, like being a spy in tf2 where you intentionally sneak behind someone to mark em mentally and backstab them, but here it just seems to me its like you and your target are marked for death and its only a matter of luck and skill
