Although I do sometimes get a hand from BSG and occasionally get to talk to Nikita or other members of the team, I do not work for BSG. I also work entirely off public information and past experiences of working in game dev myself, as well as following this game closely for several years. Unless I state very clearly otherwise, the information you're about to hear should be taken as speculation. You can either get no information or speculation, that's all we have to go off of these days unfortunately which is why it's easier to just say Thursday whenever anyone asks for dates. If you want hard facts and dates you won't get them, period.

Most underrated comment i have evere read.
I personally think that the best way to handle open world is for traders to help you secure "safe routes" between locations. You can build a map between locations, needing less and less manual travel (in raid) as you progress.
Prolly might be hidden routes you can find across the maps that are hard to find but once you know the locations it'll help you get through more difficult areas of the map

I think the crane falling won’t damage the wall, but will act like a ramp allowing us to get up and over it.
Yeah i bet scavs or some other groups will build some ramps to climb onto the crane and allow us to enter.

You missed the subtlety of the map.
The map in-game goes from GZ to Streets. The Lab is disconnected.
In the trailer, the map goes from GZ, The Lab, to Streets.
That is pretty telling. What do you think it means?
My wild guess is that player discovers something in the labs that they have to get away from tarkov with

Hmm weird. I only paid $45 for past 6 years of tarkov gameplay. You probably got scammed from a 3rd party reseller. Never use those and only buy from the official website.

@@Trigger11 IIRC un is supposed to be another faction, and the actual RU army is going to be another faction like the rogues.
At 3.57 did you see the animation on the lock of terminal, the lock opens so that would mean with what they want to communicate there will be the terminal unlock.
maybe where the crane falls it could be the lore "entrance" or a reason as to why terminal is now available. I really hope this is true and terminal is not far around the way!

Looks exciting, glad I got into the game this year and this wipe, I needed a break for a week or so but this game is fun, despite the controversy around it
This is exciting! Love that it's only Prapor talking - mebbe we gotta prestige to go thru the other traders or something, different missions for each/etc
It would be really cool, if there was a final quest to escape, where you have to go from map to map (ingame map travel) to terminal, starting at ground zero.

Can't wait for map to map moving and ingame traders. I imagine they will also allow users to access the traders from the main menu but there will be better gear ingame that you can't access from the menu system. That would make it the most balanced for all players.
Love how BSG drops the ball hard with unheard then when they realize that fuck-ups result in them going out of business suddenly they start listening to the community and churning out updates and features that normally would have taken months or possibly years it kinda puts into frame the fact BSG has finally realized their 15 min is up and more and more studios are challenging them for the throne

The crane reminded me of the wall destruction we were supposed to get on streets. The had that stuff working in the streets trailer but it never came to love tarkov. Same shit will probably happen with the crane from the trailer, doubt we will get to see it fall over in game which sucks.
I'm thinking next year as well, similar to how they showed off Streets pretty early to us as a trailer but it released quite a bit later than we typically see from them from trailer release to game update

If they make the "story" similar to the Raid series I think it'l be great. Also makes sense why Labs is hit up first bevause in the series they have the secure container as a bargaining chip to try to get into the terminal

By showing the path it took to get there. According to your argument, it present allbthe game which is proof it is a full release trailer. Well, with that reasoning they should present a lot more aspect/features than just maps: gun customization, loot, stash, how death matter in the game, hideout. There are just few examples of what I would things a trail would need to mention to present a full release to a new comer.(they dont tease for us, but for buyer ^^'). Here it seems really map specific.
Pretty weird there would be a trailer without the updated graphics from the unity version upgrade.

I play night raids all the time and i havent seen a cultist in a year
Yeah something isn't quite right with them I don't think. Bosses are listed as 40% yet I feel like I see them in at least 60% of raids, cultists are listed at 20% and I feel like I see them in less than 5% of raids at proper time.

I already have 1000s of hours in the game, which easily makes it the best video-game value for money I ever spent.

I wonder if exiting tarkov via terminal becomes a quest in itself whereby once you accept the quest you must survive from Labs to terminal without dying to escape. If you die your account resets but if you escape that's where the prestige system would work. Very grindy but would ultimately leave it down to the player to accept that final quest before putting their full account on the line.
looks like map to map travel and prapor in game trader to me. not necessarily full release. this is the closest we have been to full release ofc

the quest line is going to be very much more story-line like.
furthermore, progression is probably going to be more linear. AKA, stuff is slower to progress.

As much as I want to feel hyped. EFT already feels unfinished. Persistent issues and things that need some fixes and changes. Something like audio actually being good and realistic. Loading times, matchmaking, hitreg, AI not being both a scav with a mental of a baby or a terminator. Cheating will first and foremost be an impossible thing BSG will fix but I want to see some way to mitigate that and secure some level of competitive and hardcore integrity.

PMC karma has a high chance of killing the game imo if it means you get punished for killing usec as a usec
which is fair, if you were to cause friendly fire IRL you'd be punished severely by Your government (depends on the situation) however once you learn the uniforms of each PMC group it'll get easier
@@XX-jl3fm Yeah because the uniforms are so distinct, that it would benefit the gameplay to just stare at players trying to figure out if they are bear or usec for like 5 minutes. not to mention that both factions can wear the same clothes like the tracksuit for example the meta would just become equip clothes that look the same in both factions so you wouldnt get shot at by anyone. Lets not pretend like Tarkov is real life or even realistic its an mmo just like its not realistic that peacekeeper can tell that you are killing scavs wearing a untar helmet and armor with an M4.

Yes, they added a full blown trader in a matter of days because of 'backlash'. If you're this easily brainwashed, you should be institutionalized.
I think whatever it is, it shows that BSG wants to end the Tarkov era or at least tone it down. They are waiting for so long to start Russia 28 and Arena wasn't the hit they aimed for and now they sit on controversies, the usual crying "its shit since alpha, but somehow i played 6000hrs" players and nothing really more to expand on. There are so much game mechanics they want to to and the say are exploring, but i doubt the game gets the polish we all waiting for since years, as soon as the scope creep stops they either turn themselves away from tarkov OR start the cycle all over again after Nikita gets excited after all the "Tarkov is finally done" coverage when they put the 1.0 on it (but dont really finished what they wanted to finish).
Whatever happens, i enjoyed the journey and will be happy with either outcome, no one can take away the solid foundation SPT is now on our disks.

Nolan, with respect: No matter the denials, I think that BSG are absolutely desperate to get the game out the door by Christmas. They can't do beta life forever, they can't afford it. The two cash cows (arena and unspeakable edition) turn cow turds. They are very much on the edge here and need to get it over with and out the door so they can charge everyone a price up front and likely an ongoing battlepass type deal. I think the up front price will probably cover the first couple of wipes, but they will want more money after that - servers ain't free.
So the delay for the current wipe is so they can get all the pieces together, and what we will get in August will be essentially the playable full game with certain things either disabled or made impossible during beta - you won't be able to actually escape. They will run that for a very short time (3 - 4 months max) and then roll out 1.0 in time for Christmas. During that 3 to 4 months we will see all of the final tuning steps taken to "complete" the game enough for release, and for income to happen.
The Unity 2022 patch will be key here. I suspect that most of the major game fixes will be hinged on it, and much of the tuning time will be to deal with that.
So asides from cash money, why? Well, simply put, releasing a game in the summer doesn't work. So if they aren't out by at latest February or so, then they will be stuck until at least fall, and more likely to US thanksgiving 2025. That would be 3 wipes away from today, which honestly is just too long a time for them to hold out and to hold people's attention. There are other games already in the market and many more to come, and those are often with much more modern underpinnings. BSG cannot afford to give anyone else another 18 months to undermine Tarkov.
So really: Release date 1.0 will be either US thanksgiving, or more likely on or around 25th December. It is done. If they are making trailers, they are done and ready. The game is set, just the purely technical to do.

Town was always a DLC map, suburbs were scrapped/incorporated into Streets, because they were too similar.
