2 years later this saved me! I had some issues around getting the gateway to communicate with APIM backend and I didn't have the right listener type configured. Your explanation was great! Thanks!
@@OurCloudSchool Can I request you to validate my understanding. Suppose I want to create a client spa application which will access a set of microservices. I will create a azure app gateway in front of apim . apim will interface with microservices deployed in AKS. Does it make sense. Between APIM and AKS I will also place a Azure application gateway ingress controller. it means I am using two Application gateways one in front of APIM and one in between APIM and AKS.
Excellent. I am trying to do the same and having some CORS issues while connecting from external/internet. How the token being passed to the API manager
Thanks for the video. Incase If i want to host backend services(APIs) on VMs, Can I use app gateway or internal load balancer between APIM and VMs to load balance traffic between the VMs.
Hi Thanks for the informative video. As per our system architecture our frontend application makes call to APIM and behind APIM azure app service is configured as backend. And some API are configured which has the external source. Can you please suggest us how we can secure APIM
Overall this is good video but anyhow toward the end of video seem things got messup and nothing come out clear. Why and how many time u are making configuration changes. It bit and clear for any steps. I tried to view it 2 time. When u have AG then why u are not using to API-M url to access url

You don’t need app gateway between apim and aks if your apim and ask are hosted privately

this video describe the exact same architecture, please refer to the explained setup.
But which component among APIM and application gateway will take care of auth and authorization?
How much did you pay for wildcard cert and and is it from CA or self signed?
And we can just use Microsoft standard domain and publish it for external requests?
