Just wanted to add - while it's great to ask adult women to step up for themselves, the importance of fathers / parents in educating their daughters cannot be undermined (assuming that, in conventional arrangements, the father is in charge of the money in the household). E.g., parents opening bank accounts for minors and allowing them to manage on their own (like depositing birthday gift money), starting a demat / investment account when they're in college, getting them independent financial advice, and so on.
