I don’t understand why people always ask, “why not use btc for payments?” It’s simple, in America if you buy something with btc, it means you have to sell a bit of what you have and that’s a taxable event. Duh, why would anyone want to pay taxes just so they could buy a cup of coffee?

    • @Coover90210

You will consider buying things with btc even if you have to pay capital gains tax on the price of every transaction? Think of it this way, you buy a tv for 1000 with btc. Now you need to set aside 30% of that 1000 or 300 to pay taxes for selling your btc to redeem it for a tv. Or that tv cost you 1300 rather than 1000… fuck USA tax regulations on btc… lolol

It's always amazes how people think a mechanical property change, like a supply reduction (the halving), can be "priced in." This isn't a company, who's about to release a new product, we're talking about a mechanical property which is going to directly physically affect the float size. What ever market actions there are, will now have to happen in a smaller pool of available participation, that is always bullish, whether the market knows about it or not. In fact, the fact the market knows, may very well add fuel to the fire, in an already constrained space.

BINGO! if Bitcoiners' doom scenario plays out and fiat does collapse, the very first thing governaments will do (as they have done in the past) will be to impose capital lockdowns so wealth doesnt flee. They will ban bitcoin (or tax it to oblivion), and regulated institutional holders will try to cash out ahead of that, which will tank prices.
There is no scenario in which govts around the world let their fiat currencies suffer and bitcoin thrive. None.

The US dollar is destined to collapse and Americans have never experienced a collapse. If you own a ton of gold, you won’t be able to leave the US. If you own bitcoin, you can take that anywhere along with your family.
If the US dollar collapse, whose gonna buy your gold and silver ? Chickens, water and bullets will be more valuable than gold and silver. One thing is certain, no matter what scenario you play out; the fed will have to print print print more money. All assets go up in dollar amount.

Maybe it goes sideways or down in summer, but it peaks only in June-July, and before that it pumps like crazy in May. Next few months will be euphoric, forget about deeper corrections. Stock market is already oversold, put/call ratio near extreme levels, May is historically bullish for tech stocks (if earnings come out good). Bitcoin will probably chop around here and close month negatively (first time in 8 months), then to the moon! And even if there is a larger correction in the future, it will happen above previous ATH, that's where BTC.D dumps and altseason kicks in. So the fun is just getting started...It's not about guessing the market's next move; it's about playing it smart and steady during trading...managed to grow a nest egg of around 100k to a decent 432k in the space of a few months... I'm especially grateful to Tobias Hawke, whose deep expertise and traditional trading acumen have been invaluable in this challenging, ever-evolving financial landscape.

Over the years, I've been a part of numerous trading programs, sifting through a barrage of information. Yet, nothing has come close to the sheer clarity, depth, and precision of Tobias insights. It's akin to finding a diamond in a coal mine.

This is why it is advisable to connect with a true market strategist in order to avoid missing such opportunity and maintain steady gains.
