      I appreciate. I really enjoyed my conversation with Eric. It was interesting to hear it from a completely different angle than what I normally see. Agreed, not sure why the government hasn't built more to be honest..

      @@AndrewStephens Because the private developers don't want the competition? Because a lot of politicians are lanlords themselves? Because the political class is so far from the reality of working prople they literally have no idea what is going on? Because the current situation was forseeable 20 years ago and no one cared? Because the political class won't even do anything to stop the abuses/criminality of most landlords, nevermind actually build housing?

      Sure, I’m not saying they should be the primary builder in the city by any means. But they shouldn’t have built absolutely nothing for 30 years either.

    rent geared to income allowed landlords to make profits where they didn't exist.... its government funding the income of landlords. if RGI didn't exist, where would apartment prices be?

    Halifax needs more muslim neighbor hoods and cultural enrichment. Needs mosques built.
