It's possible he could jury rig something by blowing it under the janitor bucket, into the ground, but it would lose effectiveness. The Umbrella acts like a Mast and Sail, so it does a much better job conserving the energy and motion provided from the leafblower, but the umbrella also serves as a Windshield and a counter Balance. Just sitting in those Buckets is dangerous. Your center of gravity is all over the place, but by using the Umbrella and the Leafblower, you create a more solid point of balance, making it somewhat safer.
