I'm a bit surprised that you haven't yet experienced thunderstorms in Manila Mike. They're pretty common in rainy season. I used to love watching them from my window and being amazed at the all the lightning flashing in the clouds. Well i watch if they're in a distance. But if it's directly above me, i actually avoid being near the window as you never know if lighting will hit it.

There's an old filipino saying that when this occurs, "may kinakasal sa itaas" (there's someone getting married up in the heavens) so honeymoon is in progress! Stay calm and safe and please refrain from going at your floor terrace during this kind of freak storm. ⚡⚡

Thunder Storms are frequent here during this Month because the wheather is in transition period from summer to rainy season and of course is already typhoon season here . Hope she stay in manila of few days before she can visit her family it is to dangerous to travel when the storm came rain floods and winds are dangerous.
