No one focused on the picturization of the song where Juhi is elated when a stalker says "Tu haan kar ya na kar, tu hai meri kiran." This is how Bollywood normalizes toxic form of love. A woman in real life would be concerned or creeped out but Juhi thinks its high praise to lose her consent. People might feel I am nitpicking but this kind of subtle messaging like "hasi to phasi" or "harassing/stakling women in name of romance" (watch Khud ko kya samajhti hai from Khiladi) has normalized mistreatment of women in this country. These weren't limited to item numbers. Mercifully the tantalizing rape of women onscreen has stopped which was a norm once upon a time. I hope that one day lyrics will change too and so will Bollywoods toxic definition of love.
