All my life we never took down our Christmas tree until January 1st!!! But we never put it up until after Thanksgiving!!! God Bless Us All!!!

Our trees here in uk mostly come down on Jan 5th 12th night. Having said that I took decorations down before the children went back to school.
. I leave my nativity up until February 2nd
Yes. Kids who love books do exist. My 22 year old daughter is the epitome of a massive book reader and always has been. Every chance she has, she reads. She also just graduated from college Suma Cum Laude with a double major(French and English education). Proud mom here!!

I am 66 and no small children living here. Just me and my 22 grand daughter. And he fiance. And it is January 12th. But I'm disabled and the kids have been working. And weekends my Great grandkids come and stay with Nana. And Rachel is super woman with all she gets done with a house full of sweet babies.

Yes kids that love books that much do exist! My friends son that’s in 5th grade reads about 5 books a week and they have to ask him to put it away at dinner
I hope Rach gets a little me time, she works hard! Brad gets to play army (thanks Brad)
In our house we decorate for Christmas after December 1st and we leave everything up until Epiphany-January 6th. Everyone is different 😊

I never take my tree down until after the Epiphany, at least. Sometimes it’s a week or two later. I love Christmas, so I enjoy it as long as I can.
We're going to Norfolk in a few months when my BIL comes home from overseas, he will be stationed there.
My tree never came out from storage only the garden lights came out, need children to appreciate the decorations.
How are they supposed to appreciate them by you depriving them?

We just got our tree down today and taken down stairs and cleaned the carpet ❤ so most stuff is down stairs just need to take the time to put stuff on the shelves
Kids like that do exist. But mine didn’t have electronics until she was 10. She is 15 now and she uses her iPad to read. He teachers have to tell her to stop reading and she reads almost everywhere we drive.

A very close friend of my family has a daughter and son in law that are Navy Officers in Norfolk. They are expecting their first (an IVF baby) in about 10 days. He is currently home on leave for the birth, then will head back to the Eisenhower in the next few weeks.

five year olds should certainly be able to play independently! The toddlers not as much but the others certainly should be able to play alone for a short time before needing you
