This was always one of my favorite songs. Even the name is beautiful and symbolic. I had no idea ShounenT did a cover of of it. I absolutely adore this. It's perfect.
I dont hear this song as a breakup love song at all. I hear it as if its sung from the point of view of someone diagnosed with a terminal illness, who's dying while their partner is forced to stand idly by and they love them so much that they feel selfish for ever having been in their lives in the first place if they were just going to end up leaving them alone in the world like this. Lovingly reminiscing every memory together, yet being filled with conflicting regret over all those moments because they knew it would make losing them more painful. Then, the partner cant handle it anymore, so they left them, and the dying person is very understanding of this and even apologetic, wishing they could go back in time and relive those moments before the terminal illness. Then it ends with them saying that they hope to see them again in the next life, and hope that they can be just as in love as they were before all this.
