After hearing this message, I didn't realize how complicated it has become to understand the how and why we can grieve the Holy Spirit has turned out to be. When I came back from many years of backsliding my testimony is "I spent years grieving the Holy Spirit but God who is rich in mercy did not destroy me like I deserved, but rather he saved me". To me, grieving the Spirit is not a hard thing to understand and is something I don't want to do anymore.
And to add to this: Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Jesus Christ went to the cross and now lives to set sinful you free from death and hell. Repent and turn your heart to Him before it’s too late. If He calls your heart, say yes!
Q: Is there a single second of the day, in which some Christ follower, some where, in the world is not committing sin? Does this sin grieve the Holy Spirit? Would it then be fair to say that the Holy Spirit is continually grieved?

I'm glad we have a God who feels with us or to put it more aptly better than us the way we are supposed to feel in other words holy
Thank you Pastor John

The narrow and wide lense metaphor was odd to me because doesn't God see all thing always?
