What an inspiring perspective-one that turns the whole relationship to being “discovered” on its head. It’s not something that one bestows on you. You bestow it on yourself by doing the gentle and persistent work you talk. I love it. It also points to a dynamic of being discovered, then bring discovered again and again and again. Really it becomes a never ending process the way you describe it. This is so empowering. Thank you.
One thing I want to say both in following your progress and advice for a while is that I like your honesty and your willingness to help other artists, it is a truly unique and commendable quality that you portray perhaps singularly in the art world and I find it truly Noble and admirable. Even if I do not get discovered does not matter so much as finding and listening to someone who is giving the message of hope and purpose. So I just want to say thanks a lot. Your guidance means so much.
Thank you WHAT A GREAT ADVICE !! You are somebody we have to be So Greatful for ! Thank you So Much again ! Emilio Expressionist Fine Art Painter and Sculptor
funny in this day of the web's wide sweeping net and ability to seep into every nook and cranny, it feels like to sell art or "be discovered" people need to see and feel and experience the actual work and meet the artist. Even though we have at our fingertips this amazing networking tool, nothing will replace that human connection. We must push ourselves to break away from our studios and get out there into the world physically as well. Don't you think?
Brainard, this concept makes total sense. I am inspired by this concept of networking with curators and contacting them directly. I appreciate your knowledge and I thank you for sharing it.
Discovered and rediscovered, great insperation, like your input, have found your sharing is positive and clearly objective. I have reinvented myself and emerged myself into many aspects of creative art world. Thanks for share
Do artists still need to be "discovered"? It seems like the internet is becoming the museum. As much as I love museums, I wonder if they are becoming obsolete.

Thank you so much, Brainard. In the end and in the beginning we are all human. It was helpful to be reminded of that.
