Birding and photography at Horicon Marsh

Today I journey to Horicon Marsh, this 33,000 acre wildlife area is mainly marsh and wetlands but it also has areas of woodlands and open grasslands which makes it an epic location for birding. While there I located a Tree Swallow nest in and old tree hollow, the birds were actively feeding their young inside the nest. I watched for over an hour while the adults came and went with mouthfuls of insects for the hungry mouths inside. While watching I captured a really cool image of a chick reaching out of the nest to one of the adults just outside. While not a perfect image (mainly some backlight causing issues) it is one of my favorites to date.
