- Hello everyone! Today's video will be about the UK-spec 2016 Volkswagen Polo five door hatchback with the 1.2 litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine producing 89hp/90PS paired to a 7-speed DSG in the Match trim.

I brought this as my first car as I fell in love with it after watching TH-cam reviews and I’m certainly not disappointed, a cracking little hatchback, perfect for about town, shopping , running kids to school or to and from work. Great little runner, so easy to drive and being a VW everything is practical and works as expected. The boot isn’t the biggest and 3 in the back is a squeeze but that’s fairly standard for this type of vehicle.

In India this was called the Polo GT TSI. It was marketed as a luxurious high-performance hatchback, and the 1.2 TSI never came with an MT here. There was only the 7-speed DSG.
Is this your new video format or did you not have much time with this one?
I do this format for cars that I've already covered in my new format, but has a difference in spec than the original car that I filmed.
Hi Alex, does the indicator control also work when you only press push it a bit? Usually it works for 3sec and then stops. Correct?

90 is the PS figure. BHP is 89.
Would it be possible to do the vw up, peugeot 108, Citroen c1 or Toyota auto at any point?

Hey guys! I am thinking of getting this as my first car with a DSG Gearbox but not sure whether that would be the right choice as I have heard that the DSG Gearbox doesn't last long? HELP Please!!!

My mum has the Golf GTI with a DSG gearbox and it seems to be alright, very quick and smooth may I add too. I recently bought the 2017 polo match edition manual and that is totally fine too. My guess is that the gear box is totally fine as VW make some real good and sound cars so you should be fine.

I think it would be a great choice! Despite what the criticisms are about the DSG, it should be pretty reliable for the current models and the shifts are nice. Also with the DSG, fuel efficiency is great. That being said, if you're looking at a new Polo, why not wait for the 2018 model that is I think going to be unveiled sometime this month.

I think you'll find this is 16 valve not 8.
Paul Axford Nope. As far as I know, the 1.2 TSI I4 engine has 2 valves per cylinder for a total of 8 valves.
@@alexlovesmac Paul axford is correct. This vehicle has 16valves, the 1.2 liter tsi engine was revised after 2014 and it was completely changed. This model is the 6c (facelifted) available between 2014-2018 and not the 6r version of the mk5 polo that was available between 2009-2014.

Yeah, this one model "bluemotion 1.2 tsi" has 4 cylinders and 16 valves. I know it cause I own this car too. So George K. is right at all ;)
