My understanding is that Bebe Winans wrote the lyrics to the song. Whitney sung this song at a HIV/AIDS benefit for persons who had lost their lives. The song is also appropriate to the world in our lost /grief of our beloved Whitney. Whitney was a gift from God to all of us as he wanted us to know the peace and joy of His love for us through music. I often think of why Whitney seemed to suffer so in life - much like Job. I don't believe that she was resisting God's love for her. She was fighting off the devil's attempt to take her from God. She never gave up. She fought through it all and she will be rewarded.
