FISH brooch - sequins and beads embroidery \ Tutorial \ DIY

Hello everyone! In this tutorial I'm gonna show you how to make fish brooch, embroidered with sequins, beads and crystals.
You will need sequins (5 mm), 10 size seed beads, crystal beads, monofilament, crystal chain, felt, sintepone, leatherette, glue, clasp, bead needle.

What was the string looking material you used at a border before stitching the sequin in? I'm trying to learn to be bead/ embroider brooches and so I'm trying to find out as much as possible as too what materials are normally needed for the process
