Frank was great but Tony was unbelievable !
I love this song. How can a person not smile when music like this is in their head?
God Bless Frank. Long may he play.
RIP Frank.
Hes still kicking!
Heard Frank play with Bromberg about 30 years ago in Scotia New York . An amazing small group.
Like, they are all VERY GOOD, but I just shake my head when I hear Tony play!
one time i ran into frank wakefield in a grocery store and got a picture with him
sir tony rice!!!!
That ending tho 😂👌
@bfrank531 Halleluja !! I love to listen to one or two of his songs before bedtime ! Puts me in such a good, calm, peaceful mood,,,haha !! Hope he will come to the Netherlands some time !
Tony Rice impérial.
Is that Ricky Simpkins playing the other mandolin? Any date on this video?
It is I think
This tune bears an uncanny resemblace to "Colored Aristocracy". BOth have great chord changes. I've seen Frank Wakefiled several times abck in the 60s and eawrly 70s. He's picking as well as ever.
I sure wish Tocny's solo were better mic'd.
yea, the deeps were faint, he is (was) so good with this song. just amazing. do you remember the famous banjo player he (Tony) played in a band with? he was a red-headed banjo player, and also the "other" famous mandolin player and another country singer - both of the last two went wildy famous. Now name the band? Ok, so that's my Trivia question(s) for the day.
How do you do that?
