That's a really nice property! We were originally booked, but canceled in October just after the hurricane hit. Looks like another property they hit the nail on the head.

I’m really happy with this property. Even the partial ocean view has a great view.

Just out of curiosity. How much in general would it cost to purchase say 5600 points HGVMax ownership direct from the developer. Just wondering how the retail purchase price compares to Wyndham or Worldmark where I own. Looking at your videos it looks like the Maintenance fees are not a lot higher than WorldMark or Wyndham.

Funny you would mention this as I just bought 5600 points for $23K at Marbrisa... This included buying a VIP package first. The cost was just under $25K, then the VIP purchase was $1695, but I got a $3400 Credit and kept the 11,200 points... So bottom line price was about $23.4K. Some other location might be less and sometimes you can get a monthly special for less...

@@timesharetraveler I was quoted $16K in Las Vegas, and $25K in Sedona. I'm guessing the first offer was less than 5,6000 points, but we never got into the specifics. I had just closed on our resale purchase 1 week prior, so the rep didn't want to waste much time with us.

Very possible that one of them was a special promotion... It also depends where the location is... You can get a better price sometimes, but with high maintenance.... i paid list because I was bringing a resale into HGVMax which requires you to pay list

I really value and enjoy this content, but I don’t think I could be in a timeshare in the first place. I prefer to pay as I go.

Smart choice on your part. Most people don’t realize timeshares are not right for them until AFTER they buy. Successful timeshare owners tend to be planners and prefer scheduling ahead.

@@timesharetraveler maybe one day, but I don’t want to deal with having to cancel them.
Can you make a video on that topic?

I just did a video about when you shouldn’t buy a timeshare. Is that what you mean?

@@timesharetraveler Not exactly. Say you have a timeshare and you want to pull out of it (canceling the timeshare). How would you do that?

@@bostonelevatorsaviation I am not familiar with the specifics of getting out of a timeshare. Each company has different rules. It is best to check with the timeshare companies. You can sell them on some website like timeshare user group, but you will mostly be getting little money for it (but the maintenance fee will stop). Given you prefer to pay as you go, a timeshare is not likely a good option for you.

I just booked this room for next month

I think you will really like it. Should be a little warmer too. They have started booking activities at the location that are free (if you do an owner update). This is something that Diamond International did and now Hilton is doing. Just another option.
