All your performances are amazing! How wonderful that you and your brother share the bond of music; and, we all benefit from your incredible talent! I LOVE the way you explain the instrument to us and I always find it fascinating. You both have incredible talent. Thank you for sharing that talent with all of us. It lifts our spirits, especially, during the pandemic. Thank you both. Bellmore, NY USA

Damn - that is a beautiful building. They certainly took pride in their buildings in the old days. To bad this has been lost. All this glitz and glitter is shallow and faceless. Nice sounding organ. But then, most British organs are interesting to hear and see. Albert enshrined in the rose window - How wonderful. I would bet that the case is of English Oak. These cases formed the basis for early organs in the USA. 1879 - Buit in the finest traditions of Old England. There was probably a time when this organ was played for a weekly recital for the entertainment of the people of ROchdale. How times have changed. You and Tom have done your part to bring the organ back to the common man. Thanks to both of you for your efforts - and results.

Absolutely magnificent playing: Jonathan's transpositions and choice of stops are superlative. I do not believe I have ever heard more impressive transcriptions, and indeed such an extraordinarily orchestral instrument. Really wonderful. What a tremendous gift and such humility and charm. Thank you so much...I shall return to this recital again and again. The "Mon coeur s'ouvre a ta voix" had me in tears...I could hear Callas singing the aria in my head...Jonathan drew such sumptuous, velvety timbres from the organ.

Magnificent playing and a perfect choice of music to really demonstrate the extraordinary colours and voices this organ is able to express. The Smetna came across beautifully, particularly the florid opening on the flutes.
It's such a tragedy that in the south of England, very few town halls have even a small organ let alone the massive instruments that are such a feature of the northern cities. Incredible Valkyries transcription. I can imagine the hours of practice, but well worth every minute. Fabulous. Looking forward to your next recital.

Spectacular!!!! This concert had absolutely everything. What a great selection of pieces to enjoy! The Grand March from Aida was a great opening. The Bach is one of my favourites and it was such a joyous performance. The Smetana arrangement was amazing. There were tears in my eyes at the Saint-Saëns; what a beautiful transcription. As for the Wagner, it rounded off the concert superbly and I cheered out loud. As always, Tom’s videography was spot on and really enhanced the amazing performance. A great way to spend a lunch hour! Thank you so much. 💜

Oh this is just epic. I don't really know how to describe this. This is an absolutely beautiful building, and instrument. Just listen to that acoustic.. magical. I also cannot find any flaws in technique, and overall musicianship. I'm one misserible bastard, and it pains me to say this, but I don't think it gets much better than this. Thank you Johnathan and Tom for this amazing video.

Another fabulous concert Team Scott, your narration of the musical scores Jonathan and description of the places such as Smetana`s grave and the flowing river are magical and Toms filming is a fitting tribute in building the picture. I first played in Rochdale Town Hall aged 14 with Parr Brass Band for the local North West Brass Band Championships, many people would say that the building`s around this magnificent town hall built in the 60`s have not been kind to the area. So its a big "Thank You" to you both for presenting todays concert from a little patch of Northern England and taking it to the four corners of the world. We look forward to the next concert !!

No idea how to adequately express my heartfelt thanks for all the thought and artistry you put into the work of Smetana. It is such AZ glorious expression celebrating the beauty of the river, of mankind's relationship, and of the majesty of Nature. Your arrangement of course was very true to the orchestral dynamic. Quite an accomplishment. The smoothness of th eff ranks were melted under your gifted playing.

    Dear Mr. Scott,
Thank you so much for performing Verdi's Grand March. It has been a pleasure listening to your performance for that particular piece is the graduation march here in the Philippines and due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, I did not get to attend a proper graduation ceremony. Your performance made me very emotional as a student and as a church organist myself as I accept the fact that I couldn't have a proper ceremony.
Thank you so much, I wish you the best at your performances.

As an expat Southerner I really feel sad to think I've missed out on the wonderful sounds of the organs you play in UK. These online concerts are of course second best to the real thing which you rigtly say should be heard live for the power of the instrument. That said your performances are beyond compare. The artistry of the hands and the versatility of the footwork are great individual feats but combined as they have to be is nowt but a miracle. You produce magic and we're left in wonder. The Bach and Smetana were FANTASTICO. Thanks a million, Muchisimas gracias a ti y Tom.
