Strange comparison - should be vs larger SAKs.

Specifically the SAK Ranger 57 M Grip, which this Ruike is a knockoff of.

@@dicky_wopl They are certainly superior to the Ruike and better edc in my opinion.
I said the Ranger 57 N Grip because the 3 main tools of the Ruike are the same as it. The curved serrated blade of the Ruike is specifically for gutting game, which the Ranger 57 also has.

Unfair comparison, the Ruike LD43 should have been compared against a Victorinox Hunter XT Grip 111mm and not a SAK 91mm. I have Ruike knives and well, you can't hide the sun with one finger, in many ways Ruike and Boker have "swiss army knife" designs that are superior in some ways to the Swiss brand.

The RUIKE LD43 (Trekker Rescue Tool) and LD51 (Trekker) models are more comparable to the Victorinox Workchamp.
RUIKE is a Chinese manufacturer that produces under its name or other brands (Böker, ...) quality multifunction knives. It uses Swedish Sandvik 12C27 steel.

Nothin but nothin will ever replace my SAK. Even if I went with a knife that size I’d choose a 111mm Victorinox Outrider first.

Victorinox advantage ,does the same with less bulk. I would carry the SAK in my pants pocket. I wouldn’t carry the other one even if it could do the same functions

I have the LD 45 and absolutely love it, but...
It is too heavy for every day pocket carry.
Yes it has a pocket clip, but except for the heavy canvas type trowser, most pockets can't hold this multi-tool.
I carry mine in a heavy jacket pocket... but for at least two seasons, this knife sits in the closet.
But it is a beautiful, heavy duty multi-tool...just not for EDC.

This is a knockoff of the SAK Ranger 57 M Grip hunting knife, which is far superior. The only thing the SAK 57 doesn't have is the pocket clip (meh). A belt loop clip is easily added to the SAK and the one on the Ruike is a waste of tool space. The Ruike doesn't have the corkscrew, the can opener, the toothpick, and the tweezers, nor the easy ability to add a ferro rod, which the SAK Ranger 57 M Grip has 3 different ways. Your regular Ranger has way more everyday tools and is a better edc knife. That Ruike can't do half the things your Ranger can be used for.

    Just the wrong Ruike IMO.
LIKE: 1 high visibility yellow scales and no crosses for vampires, long serrated blade, overall screw assembly, awl positioned in the middle, pocket side clip possibility, of course thumb stud one hand opening with linerlock. Substantial thickness in materials, substantial flush back.
DISLIKE: carabine (but still better than retractable ring), useless phillips screwdriver instead of corkscrew, not having scissors, overall weight, edgy corners in the scales. Availability on the market and higher price compared to Victorinox new or used.
Actually IMO the only interesting Ruike is the model LD42-B. This is an unfair comparison between calibers of knives. You should actually compare 111mm Victorinox Outrider with this size of Ruike for size or perhaps Victorinox RangerGrip 134mm for weights.
I still prefer old model with sliding lock button of Victorinox OUTRIDER to Ruike for its compactness and capability/compactness+weight ratio and a better combination of tools (also 2 inline phillips scredrivers one is the can opener) Can opener is also an unavoidable feature like the corkscrew.
In all the knives it is wrong not have any options of an engineered rigid plastic sheath with a sealed compartment for a regular bic lighter and small stuffs, perhaps integrating a removable 2 AAA battery 45~100lumens torch and a whistle.
My favourite EDC and back-up is the Victorinox HUNTSMAN.
My outdoor essential is the Victorinox OUTRIDER.
My vehicle essential is SwisstoolXplus 3.0339.N + 4"adjustable wrench + 2 sockets adapters + ¼ sockets set + torx bits collection + retrieving magnet.
My boot knife for dirty jobs Opinel N°8 inox (reprofiled tip drop point) because it is cheap and very light but also effective to work with.
