The difference between league macro and football tactics is that in football, managers' job is to actually have a high level understanding of the game and tell the players what to do tactically. So you can more easily pin ineffective tactics to the manager, whereas it seems like in League, players generally feel like they just know better than the coach and don't want the coach actually telling them what to do. League coaches are there to just be a unifying force in the team and to talk through an overall strategy with the team, but ultimately, everything from drafting, micro, macro, etc. all comes from the players. It's a super different paradigm, where the most extreme examples are some League coaches being basically only people managers, and some football managers literally puppeting the players around
I think a bigger factor is that managers in football can communicate with their teams mid game, whereas in league they can’t. If league coaches could talk to their team, I think a lot of the macro would be down to the coach. So all of the macro decisions are made by the players in league, whether the coach agrees or not, but in football the manager can substitute, or tell the players to play differently tactically.
Reason why players know better is because the game keeps fundamentally changing, so retired players (coaches) won't be able to keep up as much as the players themselves Sport coaches doesn't have their game being patched every 2 weeks
@@Tozzlt That's definitely a big factor, but a lot of western players have said that coaches don't really do much. That to me indicates that the players tend to run the show when it comes to what actually ends up getting done. A lot of coaches and players have basically characterized the role as entailing talking through strategy with the players, but ultimately, the players have a very large role. It's why people are always talking about players with a "strong idea of how the game should be played". In football, the manager decides how to play, and if the players don't like it, they don't just get to decide not to listen. I think eastern league teams are a little more similar to this, where coaches are put into more of an authority position, even though they don't actually talk during game

i think league can just do some mini-rework to champions ability such as what Wild Rift done to Lux Q, Annie R, Janna Q and R, and Sona passive and R instead of reworking the whole champion's kit like Skarner and make him OP. just do some mini rework just to make the champion playable against newer champs and gets picked more in games. i would like to see a Jhin mini rework to his Q though becauses i think his Q is so bad and probably one of the most useless ability in the game, maybe like make his Q shot a rapid 4 bullets targeting nearest champ or minions and the more target means the bullet is spread up to 4 targets for one bullets each just so atleast he got some burst damage
