Tbh, if they can make weapons that can kill angels then they would lose. Most of the residents of hell are often replaced by the new residents or are too busy smashing. Yes, they have some capable fighters constantly trying to kill each other for entertainment but the Exorcist are quite literally trained and experienced fighting against demons.

I love how Zestial and Alastor , when compared to the Vs show the difference between confidence and arrogance. The former don't feel the need to enter into a pissing contest with other Overlords, because they know better than to needlessly step on each other's toes. Whereas the Vs are basically *looking* to pick fights regardless if its smart or not and despite them needing each other to maintain their shared empire, each of them considers themselves the "backbone of the Vs". Hell, Velvette calls everyone in that room cowards for not wanting a war with *Heaven* , a war only the Seven Deadly Sins would be powerfull enough to survive, which REALLY shows her ignorance. Especially if it took one of the strongest demons in Hell to take down a single Exterminator, who are implied to be just standard foot soldiers.
What can we say if Velvette doesn’t care about the old-timers of Hell (especially Lucifer, which is why she calls his daughter pathetic). Also, everyone from Vee's is younger than any other Overlord (probably even Alastor). They don't even realize that if they suddenly try to harm Charlie, Lucifer will destroy them with a snap of his fingers (perhaps literally).

The writer's notes themselves also back Velvet's statement of being the backbone up. "The glue that binds the sadistic boys together and keeps them in check." There is absolutely an element of arrogance and foolishness to the Vees, but not at all as much as people think. All the overlords who we've seen the personalities of so far are more arrogant than they are confident- which makes sense, they are in the *PRIDE* ring. Zestial is old and wise, but arrogant. Alastor likes to think he's much greater than he is and gets livid when his self-image is challenged(see Husk infuriating him, on top of the stuff I said above). Carmilla underestimates her opponents. The Vees are louder, but the others are much the same, just less obvious. I guess Rosie is the one exception to this rule.

Ok the idea that Adam is the actual good one of the two would be hilarious scary cause now I'm imagining eve to be more like a rabid beast that ironically Adam is appeasing via killing sinners as a way of ironically protecting hell from her which would be the ultimate twist, he wants to protect hell but he has to do a dirty job to do so maybe that could explain why all exterminators are female, their all eve pick but Adam is the "face" as way of protecting hell and heaven
