Here's the trick I used 1. Use many flashbombs (If you're going for the tail, use this later in the hunt when you think her HP is low) 2. Only attack the tail every time it falls. 3. If you think the hunt is about to end just focused a lot on the tail. (Best to use greatsword, longsword, Lance, or gunlance to reach the tail)

Its hard to tell when her HP is low to cut the tail. Any tips? I want that luna howl GL! Thanks

can dragon element gl break the crown?
Yes. As long as you have the dragon element on you can break the horns.
Shell attacks do not do elemental damage, so you would have to use melee attacks with the Dragon GL
