You should of showed the entire removal and installation. People need to see just how hard these shocks are to compress. I put the same ones on my Nissan hardbody they are a real doozy to compress. Did you cut the straps first before installing???
I think even the 1986 and '87 use the same size shocks. My '95 and '86 D21s are the same. Did you use a torque wrench at the end? 1989-1997 get 22-30 ft lbs on both nuts. 1986-1988 D21s were recommended 12-16 ft lbs on the lower nuts. I can't see why the diff.
Thanks bro I was woundering how to do this except yours if lifted or stock and min is pretty slammed to the floor its 4 inches off the ground so not much room above the tire for me
Not dropped or lifted. It had original shocks all-round. The previous owner used original parts. Im using the KYB brand for hauling but in return I ride a bit stiff. Still feels a million times better from worn out shocks.
I've watch a few videos on this. Yours is the best- for ease and Safety. Ease by raising the body. Safety- eye protection. Thank you

Going through the same thing rn. This tutorial did NOT help

Good video. Doing my rear shocks soon on my 90 4x4 with 86k original miles. Using the exact same shocks.
Making a video?? They do ride stiffer! But i love it. Sadly my d21 ain't 4x4 but I love it. Send some pics
I got a 92 2wd w/ 88K original mikes. Got it 3.5 years ago w/ 53K on it. Great truck. Looking forward to my new shocks.
How are they holding up? Are they too stiff? What do you think of these vs the belltech?
They do ride just a bit stiff.. But it's not annoying tho 👀 i honestly don't regret it
@@JeffersonJosueMorales89 thanks I order the fronts to try them out.
Just replaced mine in the front with some Ranchos definitely raised my saggy front end along with the other suspension parts good vid
Ranchos? Oh nice! Any vids?
@@JeffersonJosueMorales89 Thanks for the sub welcome to the channel, no vid on those Rancho shocks just yet, i will be doing one soon.👍
Thanks for the like on that vid too lol congratulations on the 1k subs 👍👍👍👍
Is yours a 4WD? What KYB's did you get? I ordered what Rock Auto said would match but they were a bit too short to install even while not jacked up.
Where did you bought the shocks?
The axle will not fall on you. Shock absorbers are not weight supporters.
Thank you bro for your video it was pretty good , ese peace ✌🏽.
I miss this truck. Stay up brother

Great video that really helped out
Awesome vid, thanks man.🤙🏾
how you liking them bro? i'm about to upgrade very soon and looking all around to find the best fit for me thanks
They feel good.. I wanted a stiffer ride so i love how they work. If you want oem feel get Gabriel Ultra
But KYB would definitely be better just obviously price shoots up.
Once you install the new shocks let me know know how they feel. Do a vid? Would love to see them.
Do you have a link of where u got these bro??
I bought these at AutoZone when I use to work for the company
Truck looks really clean underneath...
Great video thanks much
thanksman
Crappy instructions.
