    Great tutorial Uncle Dave. That API EQ makes a huge difference.

    Love it! I’ll have to try the separate parallels for kick and snare - I usually have a parallel for the whole kit - but the cymbals can get really washy... I have limited hardware and I/o so I’m going to try printing the parallels once I have a good balance between the acoustic and sampled kick and snare.

      The way you are doing it works fine as well. I just like the parallel split out. It's all about personal workflow.

    Instant fan, just became a sub. Have two questions: what analog console are you using and second what is the middle controller your using for controlling your daw?

      Thank you....you need to watch some other videos and you'll know what type of console I am using. Spend some time on the channel :). The controller is the SSL UF-8

    Hi Dave. Nice video. Depending on how the kick and snare are recorded and the type of music I'll run hardware Pultecs on them. The Pultecs really add life to the tracks without trying to hard to dial it in. I can hear on your track it wouldn't be necessary, but if you want deep thump to the kick and snare, that's what I use.

    Are you bussing all the drum on the origin and add the ng buss ? or sending the raw files into a bus (inside studio one) and then send it to the board + ng leveler ?

      Yes, bussing the drums on the console to a stereo group and adding the NG bus

    Hi Dave, What are you monitoring on?

    Hi! What if you have a 16 channel console and you want to mix 16 drum tracks to 1 stereo track. What maximum peak should that stereo drum track have? Thank you!

    • @MixingMusicAnalog
      @MixingMusicAnalog  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think I understand the question

      @@MixingMusicAnalog Let’s say you only mix drums in a 16 channel console. The final drum stereo track should be at -18db? Taking in count you are taking that stereo drum mix track to a session where you have bass, guitars, vocals, etc. Thank you!
