Unlike this great OST, the game has poor designed key moments that i had to google just to find out a very lame evidence with graphical issues. Since its a game to be meant to have raw aesthetics, it had to be clearer. The detective aspect was total rubbish, because a lot of ppl died to the monster, making it a really bad detective game wth just a few intertwined elements. Also there was a lot of lore issues, things that make the everyday of a ship crew have a very unrealistic behavior.
God, I wish I could wipe my memory and play this game for a second first time - the nature of it makes it just about unreplayable. The game just doesn't end until you've seen every shocking twist, pieced together what happened, and learned as much about every individual character as you possibly can. I can't call that a fault - the way the mystery comes together is the soul of the game - but it does mean that my only hope of reliving the experience is aggressively recommending the game to everyone I know trying to get a secondhand high.

I didn't know that the creator of this game is the same creator who made Papers Please, but I immediately recognized the similarity. This jaunty tune that reeks of a faraway tragedy has the exact same vibe (possibly even the same chord progression and/or musical motif) as the death music in Papers Please.

I always found the inclusion of a carillon/Glockenspiel interesting. Adds a certain something to the rest. (I do assume the whole thing is composed through the use of synthesiser software, but would be pleasantly surprised to learn otherwise.)
I read his blog and apparently it was almost entirely composed with software except for some violin parts which he felt wouldn't sound good/correct in software, so he hired an actual violinist for those.

It would be cool if a mod existed for when the fates are put to typeset, they have some more descriptive text. Like for someone, say shot, it could differentiate between location or reason. Like murder or execution, for example, or identifying which beasts are which.

@@michaelbristow6838 i think he ment specfically after the fates were confirmed, which wouldnt really spoil anything. however, part of the charm of inputting the fates is that the multiple correct answer affect the insurance payments at the end of the game, so having a specfic fate would remove the feeling of having the fate of their families in your hands

I like how the theme seems to have motifs from the individual chapters scattered throughout it.
