How can I find out if there are any Nerdfighters in my country/area? I don't personally know anyone who watches this kind of youtube videos so I have no idea if I'm the only nerdfighter in Uruguay or if they're all hiding under rocks.
I actually met another nerdfighter at a con not so long ago. She was one of the crew members and she had scribbled "dftba" on almost every notepad that was around. I saw it and just had to show it to my friend (who isn't a nerdfighter so she didn't understand the reference), and at that moment I heard a small squeal beside me. Turns out it was the same girl who had written it. After a bit of fangirling over meeting each other we had a little chat, and she said "I've scribbled that everywhere in hope of meeting another nerdfighter".
It's one of the special ones they had a limited release on for Christmas 2012...others were "BLOOD" with the face vampired, a dark green tee with a lime green John Green, pink one I think, an inverse color black tee red face one, and "four eyes" with 4 stacks of eyes...12 days of pizzamas=no Internet abandonment or no shirt for you :)
The other day I was wearing my Pizza John and a girl complimented me on it. I sat behind her in the lecture theatre and saw her hand her friend Will Grayson, Will Grayson and the first three seasons of Supernatural.
It's cool seeing you two together just hanging out like brothers. Also, I like the advice about doing a video blog with someone. Projects like that really being people together.
After like 5 years of being a background Nerdfighter I finally ran into a fellow Nerdfighter irl for the first time. Was at a brony convention and I overheard the word vidcon and kept walking whiling tuning into their conversation. Then heard "...John Green" and started walking back. Turned out someone was starting up a Nerdfighter book club in my area. Not really into books but I was excited to see nerdfighters in my area. Fandom crossovers ftw.
I have to admit...this video kept me smiling the entire way through. It was a pretty tiring week for me and seeing this with the two of you together made me really happy! Thanks for entertaining and keep it up! BTW- You can never get tired of nerdfighters, ever!
The beginning of this video reminded me of the "they say of the acropolis where the Parthenon is..." from QI.

Is there a name for the state you find yourself in after having watched an emotional film at the cinema, and the contrast from the screen straight into the outside world makes you feel overemotional, still slightly attached to the threads of the film and therefore not quite perceiving the world clearly? I know this is completely irrelevant to the video... but there should be a name and I'm experiencing it right now after 'If I Stay.' Anyone with me on this or is this garbage? XD Sorry :/
I totally agree! You come out a a theater and the bright light hits you and the real world seems less real then the world you were just experiencing. I don't think there's a word for it in English, but maybe in German? :) (I haven't seen If I Stay yet. I really liked the book, almost to the point I'm worried the movie will seem so much less. But good, though?)

I volunteer regularly at a home for mentally challanged adults and when this one man is happy he makes the ahkekekekekekeke noise like the one they made at the end of the video here and it makes us laugh and smile every time! That just made my day!

Also, I met 2 different nerdfighters at my university in the last week because of their nerdfighter shirts, so, yes, do that thing if you want to find other nerdfighters.
