Hi Emma, I'm originally from Mosul and haven't been there since 2002. Mosul has a really old history with many different cultures and ethnicities. Would be really amazing if you could visit the villages/small "cities" east of Mosul. For example, Bartella, where there are Shabaks and Chaldeans.
I asked about Bartella and it’s got difficult checkpoint apparently controlled by the Hashd and not likely to get through it … I’ll keep asking around, wi fi is sketchy right now lol

Hi Emma, it is great to see you in my city of Mosul..I think it would have been better if someone accompanied you especially during your night tour.. although the situation is very safe, but we Mosul society is a bit conservative and women do not usually go out alone especially at night.. And you have seen some places that It was reserved for men because these places previously contained cafes, bars, and cinemas, and these places are usually not frequented by women because of our conservative society.. That is why it seemed strange to some young people and children to see a woman alone there. Anyway, we enjoyed your videos a lot.. because we consider you an ambassador of peace in Iraq
